The Electra Townie 21D Step-Through women's cruiser bike is sure to delight, thanks to convenient mounting, swooping style, enhanced stability and a sweet, smooth ride.

Flat Foot Technology™ geometry places rider upright for comfortable, heads-up positioning; aft positioning allows a rider to place both feet on the ground at a stop

Fitting an Electra bike is easy. Start by setting the saddle to its lowest position and then stand over it with both feet flat on the ground. Next, simply raise the saddle until it rests in the crotch. Tighten it in place, and that's it; you're done! After an initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. I wanted to purchase a durable and stylish bike that would last me for years to come and this bike has it all. I can't wait to take it on family bike rides along the shore. Our family took a ride through a forest trail yesterday and it handled perfectly on the crushed rock path. The seat is crazy comfortable and I can't wait to add on an Electra basket on the front. I love the flat foot technology that allows me to sit back and relax, much like a beach cruiser but with the bonus of 21 gears! Such a great purchase!
