I spend almost all of my free time near lakes and rivers - sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, swimming, running, rock climbing, camping, etc...

I love these shoes. Water "aqua socks" + light hiking shoes + great water drainage = these

Pros:

Downright comfortable, especially without socks - spandex inner liner and "soft, very lightly fuzzy" insole.

There is very little material in them that absorbs water. The material that does absorb water is very thin; they dry fast. They retain very little water in the bed of the shoe.

They drain water quickly and really well. Water flows off the foot bed and out of the shoe. Seriously, they somehow manage it better than even most of the sandals I have, which always require a good post water encounter shake off.

They're modestly rugged. They have metal eyelets for the upper shoelace that are connected to heavy duty straps connected to the base of each shoe. If I have to brace yourself and really dig my feet into the ground while pulling something or hiking up a hill with a loaded pack they're adequate. This makes the great for hiking, even trail running, with a light day pack.

Grippy Soles

The ventilation is so profoundly good that my feet stay dry of sweat on 90 degree, humid days. These shoes are good to go sock free.

The rear heel area of each shoe is made to fold forward so that the shoes can be worn as a pair of sippers/clogs. Anyone who camps and knows how labor intensive and wearing on the footwear taking off and putting on a pair of lace up shoes/boots every time they go in and out of a tent will appreciate this.

They do a much, much, much better job of preventing debris from getting trapped under my feet than a pair of sandals do. I don't have to shake a bunch of sand and pebbles out of them every time I step in the water.

Considerations:

The soles are made of thicker, more durable, grippier, and more abrasion resistant material than a running shoe but of a softer, more flexible, less durable than that of a hiking shoe.

I wouldn't expect them to last a very long time if I were carrying a heavy backpack - The side straps do a really good job of securing the shoes to the feet but some stress still occurs where less durable plastic webbing secures the foot to the shoe.

I bought these as a summertime Walking Shoe.
I wanted something very comfortable, lightweight, very breathable and cool. These are all of the above.
Have not had them long enough to speak of durability although they do seem to be well made.

I think these will be perfect as the summertime walking shoe I was looking for, I can feel the breeze flow right through them as I walk.

One thing about these is they run about a 1/2 size small. I usually wear a 10 to 10 1/2 and had to go with an 11 which is the first time I have ever worn an 11 in my life but the 11 fits perfectly.

I've used these shoes for fishing,white water rafting and a 14 mile river canyon hike and they have performed great. Any activity that mixes water and walking will be enhanced by these shoes. Super good traction in wet or dry areas and they drain really well,no more walking in a shoe full of water.I will use these shoes whenever i am near the water.
