Great travel bag except main compartment is one big hole making it difficult to organize and find stuff. I sewed on an additional piece that goes around 3 sides of the bag. The piece provides 4 additional/separate pockets/spaces for holding sun-glasses, reading glasses, small mirror, bandages, hand lotion, tissue & hand-sanitizer. I also added small rings on the 2 sides to hang chains/carabiner for a flash light and for keys. Now I have a perfect bag to carry everything I need when I travel. I used it for my recent 2 week trip to China and loved it!!

I purchased two of these, one in the solid black and another in the the two-tone pewter/black (which is the LE style). The magnetic closure is much smaller and weaker (sometimes flap opens) on the solid black satchel. The magnetic closure on the LE pewter/black satchel is very strong. I don't foresee
the flap coming open on the second purse. I will be returning the solid black bag, and keeping the pewter/black LE.

**I still recommend this satchel...at least the one with a stronger hold magnet

Functional bag, holds more than you expect. The white trim does get dingy despite frequent trips through the washing machine. Comfortable to wear, strap doesn't slip. But the flap gets annoying if you're reaching in and out frequently. I leave it draped over the back most of the time.

The bag is PLENTY big. However it lacks a closer zipper to keep all that can be stuffed into it as the magnet is not a strong enough closure device. The strap is useless as it slips and becomes entangled in itself WAY TO EASILY. Bought a couple flag lapel pins to keep it from sliding out of adjustment BUT the zipper killed it for her. I took it back and got the smaller one with a zipper closure.

I bought this bag in DC so that I would have a nice place to stash all the stuf I needed for riding the Metro and hiking around the city with my kiddo. I loved the bag (thinking it was perfect) all the way until it demagnetized my DC Metro card and left me stranded at my destination. Then I thought "ok, well, the metro cards are wimpy and I just won't put one in the outside pocket." (Cuz I really loved the bag.) But then it demagnetized my room key at the hotel somewhere between the front desk and the 4th floor, so I had to go all the way back down to the front desk after having had an extra long walk back to the hotel--since I couldn't ride back on the metro. (The bag even demagnetized my credit card.)

Sad. The bag could be great. As it is, it's a disaster waiting to happen, so I returned it after a miserable weekend with it.

I bought this purse (in black) last spring and have used it constantly for the past 6 months. I like it because you can make it spill-proof by zipping the top of the main compartment, but you don't have to keep it zipped all the time because the magnetic closure holds the flap down securely. It's lightweight, comfortable to carry (either with the strap on one shoulder, or across your body), and shaped so that you can always manage to stuff in one more item.

My only quibbles:

1. The white trim tends to pick up dirt (although not as badly as I was afraid it would). I wish they'd used beige or tan trim instead.

2. The elastic bottle holder is too narrow for most 20-oz water bottles.

3. Same with the elastic pen holders inside: pens with a rubber grip don't fit.

This isn't exactly a complaint but a funny story: The magnetic closure is awfully strong. I was once about to walk out of a diner, reached down to close my purse -- and realized that the magnet had picked up a fork!

I actually bought this to use as a smaller diaper bag when we're out for the afternoon and don't need to haul the big one along. It's big enough to fit a disposable diaper, a small water bottle, and some snacks and toys for my son. There are pockets that are easily accessible for keys, phone, etc. The detachable mini-wallet is great too. I just stick in ID and some cash and we're good to go. I haven't had it long enough to know how well it washes, but so far, it looks good and the size is perfect for my needs.

I love this bag! I had been looking for a smallish sized messenger bag for myself for quite awhile. I do wish that it was a tad bigger, maybe half the size of a normal messenger tote. It has a magnetic clasp, long adjustable shoulder strap and many interior pockets (both zipped and open) to organize items. When I was looking at this bag I saw the previous review. I was concerned about the wash-ability of the product, since she said she couldn't remove stains. I recently cleaned my bag (after several months of use, it had several stains)and it came out wonderfully. I did, however, use a stain remover on any visible dirt, it was perfectly clean and looked new again.

I bought this purse 3 years ago and I just bought a new one this week. They fixed a couple of my (minor) issues with the original design. This purse is fantastic -- it fits everything I need but is not so big that I get carried away and take along too much. It has plenty of pockets to organize smaller things like chapstick, pens, etc. It can fit all the necessities plus a half-liter water bottle if need be.
My only complaint with the green color is that it picked up dirt quickly and despite washing it in the machine (which did not hurt the shape or function), the dirt did not come out. But to be fair, I was taking this purse on all adventures from daily use at work and around town to more outdoor-based trips where it picked up most of its dirt. I bought black the second time around.
