Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Garage:
We already have the Kingdom 4 with add-on vestibule. We are a family of 5 needing to fit everyone and everything in one tent so we purchased the Kingdom 6 for our trip to Acadia NP. This garage is a MUST HAVE for families needing extra storage. The photos show it set up from behind and also from the front loaded with tons of camp gear (full size table, cooler, chair, bags, etc). Worth every penny! While water can run through/under it, we kept everything nice and dry by simply keeping things up off the ground.
PS: we also purchased 2 adjustable camp poles to help us create the awning on the front side. Again, worth the $.

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Garage:
We got the garage this year for our Kingdom 6 to give us more storage space as we now have a 7 month old son that we are bringing (along with his clothes, diapers, toys, etc). Really easy to attach, but I found it hard to get everything stretched tight so when it rained a coule days later, the water pooled in the top and caused the roof to sag. Nothing leaked through and I could raise the middle to empty the water, but the straps at the base of the garage wouldn't hold (they kept slipping) and the roof kept collecting water.
Maybe it was just me, but I'm willing to give it another shot after I visit our local store and see if I can get a rep to show me how to properly get it setup.

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Garage:
Just got back from our first trip using this great addition to the Kingdom 6 tent. We've loved the tent, but sometimes had felt a little cramped storing all the stuff that we had under the little vestibule from the fly. The garage adds tons of space (easily enough for a few chairs to sit under on those rainy nights; our dog loved sleeping there). The door design is really nice, as you can just zip open one half and have a nice walk-in area to take your shoes off, stash your gear, etc. And somehow we could still pack this, the tent, the fly, and the footprint in the original bag, so while it adds a tiny bit of weight, it's not more things to store/move/carry, and really adds lots of useful space, plus a much easier door in than the vestibule door.

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Garage:
Here are some initial reactions to the Kingdom Garage after a quick dry-run in the back yard:
1) Holy cow, there's a lot of space.
2) Relatively easy to set up (more on that below).
3) It's very compact when folded/ rolled.
I bought the Garage to go along with the family Kingdom 6 and it was well worth the money. Part of the appeal is that it provides quite a bit more headroom and floorspace than either the integrated vestibule on the fly or the other add-on vestibule. While it doesn't match the full height of the tent it's still plenty roomy for an average adult (I am 5'10" and have to crouch a little but don't feel nearly as cramped as with other vestibules). I'd also like to echo/ expand on what some of the other reviewers have said:
Like one of other reviewers, I did encounter some trouble with the roof being a little slack (initially). It appears that this was due to the way straps at the base came looped from the factory. A little reworking and I was good to go.
While I did not purchase the additional tent poles to convert the doors into awnings, they will definitely be on my list based on the dry run, as I think it is a great option.
Also like one of the other reviewers, when it came time to pack it up, I was able to get the Garage in the bag w/ my Kingdom 6, rainfly, and footprint.
The only thing that keeps me from giving it a full-on 5-star rating is the way the vestibule attaches at the base of the tent: it takes a little maneuvering to get things adjusted so that the floor of the tent is not being pulled up and the zippers on the Garage work smoothly. Not a show stopper by any stretch, just something to be aware of.
Looking forward to using this thing out in the field. And while the "Bottom Line" says I would recommend this to a friend, I'll take it a step further and recommend it to total strangers, too.

Comments about REI Kingdom 6 Garage:
Great add-on to ensure your gear stays dry and out of wind. I took this camping this weekend and battled the elements. Snow, sleet, rain, and plenty of wind. I would not have wanted to go without it. Only problem I had was that rain water pooled on the roof of the garage the first night. Use some rope to tie off the top of the garage to a tree, and problem went away. Fantastic piece of gear!

Thank you for the photos! It's nice to see the garage in real life situations! Seems that it would be a more useful set up than just the vestibule.

Great add on! Lots of room. I would recommend getting a tarp to lay inside it.
