We have an almost 3 year old daughter and an almost 2 year old son and we will be going on a camping/hiking trip this September to Amicalola Falls in GA. The kids love to hike and are very independent and we decided they should have their own packs. After literally MONTHS of searching (even on REI!) we finally stumbled upon these perfect packs for our toddlers. Everything else we found was too big or covered in tacky characters from TV shows. We wanted something bright and colorful, but tasteful and something that would last a long time, and something AFFORDABLE. (Because they are so close in age we also try to find them matching/coordinating pairs because they tend to quibble over everything!) These fit the bill! Our daughter picked the Garden Pink pack for herself and we decided on the Twilight Blue for our son.

We could not be more pleased with these packs - we all love them. They have great pockets on either side for holding drinks, and an inner mesh pocket to keep smaller things from getting lost inside the pack. It's padded and has adjustable straps. The handle on the pack is great for those emergencies when you have to reach out and grab your little one fast! ;) Our kids have only had them for a couple of days but already they wear them EVERYWHERE. The house, on our daily walks, trips to the park and library. The sternum strap is also ideal for helping to keep the pack on little shoulders. I highly recommend this to anyone - I have been raving to all my parent friends about it! We hope to get full wear out of these packs!

This backpack is cute but more for a 1-2 year old for their very first play backpack than a child 3-4 who can actually carry more of their own stuff. My daughter is 3 1/2 and needs more room to carry books and larger items. Also, I didn't like the way it opened on the front of the pack instead of the top, that smaller front opening made it harder to put in bigger items. But of course it is a well made TNF product.

Well i was roaming thru [@] and came across this pack for my 3wk old daughter. my wife and 5yr old have North Face packs so why not her. Its good for diapers and wipes as well as extra clothes and bottles. And looks fun to have.
