I bought 10 pairs of these 2 years ago, before I left to join the Peace Corps in West Africa. They were SO worth it, and I can't recommend them strongly enough. 12 hour motorcycle ride through the mud--no bunching, still breathing even though it was raining. They wash super easily, even in a bucket, and have withstood the harsh african soaps and suns for the entire 2 years, while everyone that brought cotton undies had to beg to have more sent from the states. Only wish I had brought more, to extend the time between doing laundry! Buy them!

There is nothing in the world worse than uncomfortable undies on a long hike! I have tried everything and finally bought myself some of these Patagonia hipsters based on the excellent reviews I read here on the REI site. There are NO cons to these undies! I put them on this morning, crossed my fingers, and went out for a 10 mile hike. NOT ONCE did they ride up or even MOVE! Somehow, my backpack always seems to affect my undies, making them "off center" or ride up in the back, and ultimately cause chafing. Not any more! thanks to Patagonia! The Patagonia undies are so wonderful - I kept telling my husband all day how I just LOVE my underwear! I've even put them on my Christmas list! If any of you have undies issues while hiking, please try these. They are the BEST! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend these!

I bought these about a year ago because I hate nothing more than underpants that ride up while I'm running. I absolutely love them. I have bought enough to cover my daily runs and resistance training for each day of the week (and then I have to do the laundry again...). I can wear them to yoga and pilates, as well, without worrying about them moving. I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed! They are incredibly comfortable, as well. You can't even tell you are wearing them.

These underwear are very comfortable and cute. I use them when I travel. I had 4 pairs for a 10 day trip. I washed them out by hand and they would be dry in the morning, ready to wear. It saved on packing, plus they were super comfortable in warm weather. They didn't leave a panty line under pants and skirts. I recommend a beige pair even though the colored ones are more fun, they hide better under light colored garments.

I bought one pair of Patagonia underwear and two pairs of ex officio for a three month backpacking trip through Europe. While the ex officio underwear were fine, they didn't blow me away and they did ride up at times. The Patagonia, on the other hand, continue to be my favorite in every way. They don't ride, they dry quickly even after hand washing and hand rinsing in hostel bathrooms, and never bunch even with running or carrying a backpack. I wish I could afford to replace all of my underwear with Patagonia's!

I purchased this pair two months ago in advance of a large trip. I've worn them every other week and cannot bear the amount of smell that they retain. I am not odorous when wearing normal cotton panties but I just reek after sitting at work for a few hours in these. I work at an ob/gyn office and know what's normal and what's not. I decided not to take them trekking.
The size and fit are wonderful.

I was a little reluctant to shell out for these, but boy am I ever glad I did! Now, slowly but surely, I'm replacing most of my underwear with these. I found them incredibly comfortable for traveling and a bit of light hiking, but the true test was wearing them riding. I wore them for a dressage lesson, and after twenty minutes of sitting trot work, there was no bunching, no shifting, no chafing, and best of all, no seam under my seat bones! Very impressed!
My one wish for improvement would be that they came in more colors, including some more neutrals for wearing under light colored pants/breeches.
