These were bought to wear for both rock climbing and a month long backpack trip this summer. They feel almost luxurious on! The adjustment at both the waist is great for once they are pulled up, and the leg length is just 1+ inches too long for my height, but the leg can be adjusted also. These have already been worn to work...clients commented on how nice they looked on me! Ready to buy another pair, but want them in another light color..not black. Keep making SMALL sizing REI...these are great for the petite frame, and seem to be a wining design. YEAH!!

Wore these on a hiking trip to Smoky Mountains in October. They were very comfortable, durable and breathable. Wore them two days straight and appreciated the tie strings on the ankle cuffs for quick and easy conversion into capries as in the morning it was cool and by afternoon warmed up. Also appreciate the fit, they are one of the only hiking pants I have tried on that actually fit like women's pants. Am thinking about purchasing another pair. Thanks REI for another great product!

I have received many compliments on my figure in these pants - and I'm not in the best of shape, so these pants help my 'tad out of shape' body! When not working out regularly, I have a difficult time wearing certain brands, but these pants are GREAT! I had to giggle because I notice the cons were placed by people ordering size 2 or size 0, so if you are NOT a size 0 or 2, you could benefit!

I loved the look, fit & feel of these pants for wearing all day when traveling, hiking, & cyclotouring. But after the equivalent of 1 month of daily use, the fabric lost its elasticity and became hopelessly baggy at the waist, in the hips, and in the thighs. They suddenly looked 2 sizes too big even though the fabric looked brand new. I was also disappointed to discover that the inside weld at the mid-thigh level abraded my long john bottoms. Not a crisis but a disappointment to have 2 new garments look shabby after a single wearing under these pants.

Loved the way these pants held up during hours of airport time and plane travel. My black ones slough any appearance of dirt, wrinkles or wear. I plan to wear them all seasons for casual occasions--they dress up or down, depending on what shoes you wear. I even plan to get another pair, when they are back in stock!

I bought these to take on a 4-day kayak camping trip in the FL Keys in January. They were perfect! Cool enough for days, warm enough for nights, kept the bugs off, easy to shake the sand out of, dried quick, and packed small. I am slender with some shape in the hips, and they fit well without gapping at the waist, looked good, and no tags to rub! They feel so good I wish I could wear them to the office!

Wore these pants for 4 days straight without washing. Still looked great. Would like another basic color offered. I would like to have another pocket at knee on left leg. It was perfect for passport, some money and still comfortable. Funny thing, even though knee pocket was empty TSA did a pat down on that area each time I went through full body scan! Highly recommend.
