Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
I bought the Talon 22 after lots of online and in-store research, comparing this pack to competing Gregory, REI, Black Diamond and The North Face products. The Talon 22 had the best combination of features, capacity, light weight and comfort. Although the shoulder straps and waist belt are thin, their clever design makes them comfortable for light to moderate loads. The various outside pockets are stretchy and secure. The Talon 22 seems to have more interior space than specified. The size M/L fits my long torso well. The only thing missing is an ice axe loop. Overall, a well-thought-out, versatile daypack.

Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect day pack and I was not disappointed. This pack have every feature you would want. The pack is very comfortable even with heavy loads. The only advice I would give is the S/M size seems too small for any adult to use. I am not a big person and I had to get the M/L. Also I wish the pack came with the magnetic clips to hold the osprey bite valve in place but its not that big of a deal. I loved this pack so much I bought this pack for my girlfriend and my friend bought one too.

Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
Shopped around for weeks trying to find a good replacement for the North Face bag I finally had to retire. This Osprey bag is great for day hikes, school and work. Ample room for a 100oz hydration pack. Pack is lightweight but durable. Suspension is what you would expect from a lightweight pack but I find it more than enough for moderately heavy loads. I'd buy it again.

Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
I tend to carry a lot of stuff for a day hike and my previous pack became uncomfortable by the end of the day. This pack has been great. If fits me nicely and keeps the load stable. It's comfortable for the whole day.
I've been out on the trail with it several times and haven't found any problems with it. It's quickly become my favorite day pack.

Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
I have been using this pack for two years and absolutely love it! It has gone snowmobiling in Yellowstone (strapped around the passenger seat), down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon (stuffed in a dry sack unless needed for day hiking), and has been used for countless days of summer fieldwork. I find that it fits a clipboard, first aid kit, flagging tape, measuring tape, lunch bag, camera, rain gear, Trimble (or smaller GPS unit), and other paperwork nicely. However, it can't carry much more than that. If you have need to carry pin flags in your work, the side pocket and trekking poll strap is perfect! I find that this pack works well in the summer, but is just a bit too small in the winter, due to having to take off and carry various layers as the day warms up. I use its larger cousin, the Talon 33, for winter fieldwork.

Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
I purchased this as the replacement for a similar sized, but heavier day pack. So far, I've day hiked with it and worn it all day while skiing. It is strong, light, versatile and comfortable. Another great arrow in Osprey's quiver.

Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
I got this when I decided that I occasionally needed a larger backpack I could wear running. The Osprey Talon 22 is very light, capacious, and comfortable. The hip belt pockets are handy, as are the side pouches for holding bottles. There is a hydration compartment that can be used to store small laptops, but it has no padding; I wad a shirt or light jacket into it when I need to carry a computer.

So far I have only used this for commuting (which was the main reason I bought it). But looking forward to using it on extended mountain bike rides and hikes!

Awesome Pack! Wear all day with 14-16 lbs and never know its there. Only (1) con.. Needs a few more straps/tie points for exterior items.
All in all best pack I ever owned

Comments about Osprey Talon 22 Pack:
This pack is amazing. it has a large pocket that can store anything, and that opens quickly for easy access to gear. theres a top pocket that opens into a mesh pouch that hangs inside the main compartment, and is great for small stuff. Lastly, there are hipbelt pockets, a stretch pocket on the front and each side of the pack, and small pockets on the straps. all of these are great for stuff that you need access to quickly. the suspension is great, but due to the lightweight nature of the pack, is not great for heavier loads. the "airscape" back panel keeps you from getting too sweaty, and the straps have little clips on the bottom so they don't fly everywhere.
I only have three little complaints with this bag. one, the gear tie off isnt really central (so stuff fastened there bumps into the wearer), and there isnt a corresponding tool loop on the bottom of the pack. two, there aren't very many attachment points on the bag to, well, attach stuff to. and three, the zippers on the hipbelt harness are poorly designed and need two hands to operate. despite this, this is an amazingly comfortable lightweight pack, with lots of well designed features.
