        The two things that convinced me to buy this watch are the altimeter and thermometer. Altimeter is fairly accurate but since it is based on barometer, the altitude may be off depending on the weather. On a calm nice day, once calibrated, the altimeter is accurate.
        The other thing is the thermometer. Now this is where I am a little disappointed. The sensor itself is accurate but since the sensor is so close to your skin, the temperature reading is always between ambient temperature and your body temperature. If you want the ambient temperature, I suggest taking off the watch and keep it away from you for a while.

        The other things about the watch like the timezones and other sport functions are working really well. Overall, I am very satisfied with it.

        Service and delivery comments:

        The delivery was on time and arrived in good condition. The watch was not available at the Boston store so they shipped it from one of their other stores and it still arrived on time

          I bought this watch about 2 years ago and I love it. I've worn it literally every day since I bought it and I've never had a single problem with it. The night light is great for seeing in the dark. It has a lot of functions, many of which I don't use because I'm not tech saavy enough to set it up. But I use the altimeter on it quite often and it's never failed me. I notice that one reviewer said that they tried swimming with it and it started acting up; I've always taken mine off to shower or swim, but it's gotten immersed in water several times when washing hands or dishes and been perfectly fine. I rock climb and spend lots of time in the mountains and it has gotten scratched up quite a bit, but that's expected wear and tear, and it doesn't affect the performance of the watch at all. As far as construction of the watch goes, the fabric is starting to become ragged right where the watch meets the band. But that's after 2 years of continuous use and abuse. Once the band finally breaks (which I don't expect to be for a few years) I'll simply get it rebanded or repurchase the same model. I'm a very petite female, so it's a little bulky on my wrist, but I got used to it quickly and now don't even notice it. The only downside is that after wearing this watch for so long, the wristband gets a little stinky after a long, sweaty day; but I know there are ways to clean it.Bottom line: best watch for this price range!

            I got this watch in early 2011 and it has lasted approximately 6 months. It worked fine until I spent an afternoon paddling. Condensation built up under the glass, and eventually stopped working. I swam a lot with it on and trusted it's water resistant label. I'm going to try to replace the battery and hope that works, otherwise, I will be returning it in favor of a better product.

            On the plus side, I did find that the altimeter and barometer were fairly accurate.

              Great watch for hiking and camping. This one gets you most of the functions in a Pathfinder in a smaller package and much better price. While the altimeter is basic in its functions you are able to set a reference altitude. The two big pluses are the time is shown in all modes and the 24 hour countdown timer. Nylon strap is very comfortable and dries quick. All things considered pretty much the perfect watch for the outdoors!
