The Atlas 930 snowshoes starter kit includes snowshoes, poles and a storage bag for great all-in-one value, making wintertime explorations of rolling terrain a breeze.

  • Durable frames are crafted from 6061 aluminum to create a stiff yet lightweight chassis
  • Nose and tail shapes are optimized to provide a balanced platform for stable footing and facilitate an easy, natural stride
  • Free-Rotating™ Suspension lets the binding rotate much farther forward than previous Atlas designs, freeing up the stride and reducing the amount of tail flip
  • The result of the design is that freedom of movement is increased, the toe crampon can bite into snow better and the foot is allowed a more natural rotation
  • Abrasion-resistant, lightweight Nytex™ nylon decks stay flexible when cold and stand up to the elements for lasting use
  • Wrapp™ bindings use a single-pull, continuous webbing design that tightens snugly with a light tug; bindings also cradle feet and arches for a secure, comfortable fit
  • Steel toe crampons supply sure-footed traction on icy and snowy terrain; heel crampons increase traction while traversing and descending
  • 2-part, adjustable-length poles assist with balance and propulsion; features lightweight 6000-series aluminum shafts, plastic grips and steel flex-tips
  • Poles also have wide, alpine powder baskets for pushing/planting stability and adjustable hand straps that minimize fatigue and enhance support
  • Poles adjust up to 130cm in length
  • Includes heavyweight nylon tote/storage bag with mesh panels that allow snowshoes to dry out after use
  • Atlas 930 snowshoes' recommended load specification includes weight of hiker with gear

      I lost pair after 3 years I bought this kit on sale and used them on the colorado trial for 6 days the are a good pair for beginner to pros and there light to carry on pack when you need to.

        I have never used snowshoes before. When I got my Atlas 930 snowshoes we got a foot of snow in my town.. I used the snowshoes for several days in a row. No learning curve... i just put them on and had the TIME OF MY LIFE! The snow is melting and I am sad I can't use them today! I am going to get another pair for my husband!

          I know you have searched for starter kits, and have found a few that are less expensive than Atlas. But the Atlas starter kits are a good price point to try out the sport, yet won't be less gear than you want for your second season. The only way you could do better would be to buy the snowshoe and bag seperately, and upgrade to black diamond poles. Wait for the sale, then buying this kit wont even require you to spend more.
