by fromgreat material but poor design Water proof after hours of continuous exposure. For my chest size (medium), sleeves are too long (extend to the tips of my fingers), and jacket is too short (sweater is sticking out from underneath--should be 2 inches longer). Yes, A. makes a longer version, but the 3 REI's in my area don't carry it. Outer pockets are positioned too high to comfortably putting hands in it. Hood is too wide/big. Overall, great material but poor design.

by fromBe Cautious I am new to hiking but spent a lot of time picking out the best jacket. I won't repeat on all the great qualities of this jacket... Please be cautious where the jacket is made.I received the jacket that was "Made In China" and after comparing to the "Made in Canada" version, i returned the one from China.. you can tell the material is different and my friend cautioned me to stay away from the ones that are made in China, where he experienced rain penetration from the heavy rain and regret spent [$] on a poorly made jacket....

by fromExpensive but great fit and performance Some rain jackets fit ok when zipped but may drape oddly when open. This jacket fits well regardless of the zipper position. Besides the good fabric breathability the pit zips add further flexibility. It is lightweight but not flimsy.

by fromPromise low and deliver high. I love this jacket. I got it for an incredible price and I absolutely love it! The promises of the manufacture are accurate if not understated. I have been in some fairly harsh conditions with this jacket and it performs great. It is quite comfortable. It fits well as my second layer and also fits over a few additional layers. It has been extremely durable, though I baby it a bit as it doesn't have its first flaw yet. I expect to have this jacket for many years to come.

by fromGreat jacket! This is pretty much a perfect jacket. I have been drooling over Arc'teryx for a long time now and finally decided to take the plunge. Leaving in a temperate climate I often find myself in rain, heat, and cold, sleet, snow. Get a little bit of it all. Just the jacket is perfect for 40-65 degrees. Any colder and throw a fleece underneath and you should be good to go! At first I thought the sleeves were a bit to baggy until I started moving in the jacket soon I realized they were like that for a reason. Range of motion in the arms is great.

by frombombproof? duh. the climate of portland oregon demands a durable shell that is bombproof enough for the constant showers of the pacific northwest. after buying it today i know it will over perform on my upcoming mountaineering expedition in the cascades. the cut and length of the arms is deceiving at first when you put it on, but once you zip up and adjust wrist straps you'll enjoy the comfort that sets arc 'teryx apart from any other high end outdoor brand out there.

by fromPerfect. Amazing. Amazing jacket. Obviously its not cheap, but it certainly does everything you'd expect, and more. WATERPROOF, great as a shell, super lightweight, not made in China (Canada, I believe?). The fit is really, really good. I've seen other reviews mention this as well. Its better than any other rain jacket I've seen. Very comfortable, looks good, performs superbly. If you can afford it, buy it.

by fromGreat Rain Jacket Great lightweight rain jacket for the spring and summer months when it's wet and humid outside but it's too hot to wear a full out shell. Only downside is although it is an AR jacket (and I know Arc'teryx usually recommends a layering system), it offers minimal warmth when the wind blows, I usually have to wear a vest underneath it if its cold outside.
