Comments about The North Face Arctic II Down Parka - Women's:
This coat is great! It's extremely warm and durable, and keeps the wind out. Living in Wisconsin I needed a heavy duty coat during the cold winter months and this is perfect. The only downside is when the coat is zipped all the way up, the zipper scratches my chin. Otherwise a wonderful coat. I also love how the fur on the hood can be zipped off if it's not your style.

Comments about The North Face Arctic II Down Parka - Women's:
I am disabled with limitations in my activites, one of the only things I can do is walk, so I walk in the snow, the rain, the sun. I also live at the base of the mountains and we get really cold weather, this is the coat I wear when it's cold, my go to, its down to my knees and the hood fits over my headphones that I use to cover my ears in the cold winter winds, it's awesome, snaps and zips not a bit of velcro (hate velcro), love this lightweight extremely warm coat.

Comments about The North Face Arctic II Down Parka - Women's:
Finding a good coat has been a lifelong quest for my wife. It seems most coat manufacturers choose either a) you'll freeze, but at least you look hot! or b) you'll be warm, but you look like Grimace. This coat manages to be form-fitting and tapered, yet warm, stylish, waterproof, and with a modern, understated design, with no flamboyant trim or logos. Highly recommended!

Comments about The North Face Arctic II Down Parka - Women's:
I purchased this specific coat because it was so well rated and recommended. I was in the market for the warmest knee length jacket, and I found it. Perfect fit(jacket=size small, me=5'6" @ 120lbs w long arms). Cozy, comfortable, functional, waterproof, durable, dual zip, warm hood, long sleeves with cuffs. So very happy with my purchase! Way to go The North Face!!

Comments about The North Face Arctic II Down Parka - Women's:
I've had this jacket for about a month now and during that time I have experienced all sorts of MN winter weather - rain, wind, snow, extreme low temps. This jacket does best when the temps do not dip below zero and the wind is at a minimum. I was quite chilly when the temps dipped below zero and the windchill was in the double negatives. I noticed the chill mainly in the sleeves; the body area remained warmer.
I purchased this jacket b/c of its length and feedback from a sales member at REI. Unfortunately, it hasn't cracked up to all that it was said to be. I previously had an LL Bean jacket and it just started wearing out after 15+ years. This jacket is of considerable warmth brand new.
One thing to note is that you can't pull up the hood up when the zipper is all the way up.
I have received a lot of compliments on the style of the jacket. I noticed that some of the reviews stated they couldn't wear bulky items underneath, but I haven't found that to be a problem.

So cute, and functional. Unfortunately it seems to run a little small. It fits, but if I'd wear a heavy sweater or layer a jacket it'd be tight. I'm 5'4, 150, 34D and curvy. I am exchanging the M for a L. Hopfully it will work!

(I got this coat from my mother-in-law.) I live in Chicago and have used this coat for a few months, mostly for tooling around town, but also on a number of long hikes. It's a wonderful coat! I really have loved it. It's pricey, but worth the money. The Hydravent waterproof/windproof outer material is great; rain & snow roll right off. It's also a great shape; I've got good-sized hips and it keeps out the cold. The fleece around the wrists is also great! Pockets are at the right height, and even the kind of oddly placed chest pockets are useful for putting my phone in (not as weird looking as you'd think). Really, just a very useful coat!

It is an excellent fit and the gathering on the back gives me a waist unlike many other knee length coats. It is so warm and cozy!

Bought as a holiday gift for girlfriend; she loves this parka. She was one of the "always cold" types, but loves the down insulation and says this is one of the warmest jackets she has ever owned.

Comments about The North Face Arctic II Down Parka - Women's:
I am an ice cube. Keeping me warm is like keeping a icicle warm. This jacket is perhaps one of the only jackets that keeps me toasty and comfy. If you hate the cold and winter...this jacket is for you.
I use the jacket in day to day activities. Nothing too extreme. I've been on a causal day hike with it and it's a bit heavy for long hikes and since it's longer lifting your knees for big rocks and such is not what it was designed for. You can still do it though.
It runs small. I am 5'4 and 110 pounds and the XS is too small for me. The small is perfect.
Pros: It's waterPROOF. WindPROOF. It has polar fleece cuffs around the hands to keep out cold and wind. Very nice. The hood is detachable and it is insulated as well.
Cons: Only con is that it's not a super light weight coat. But that is it.
When I wear this coat the only parts on my body that are cold are the parts that are not covered by the coat.
