Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
I was at a football game where wet snow was falling horizontally, pushed by strong winds, and I had nothing but a t-shirt and the Nano Puff on top - and I was amazingly fine. The jacket kept me dry. It was probably around 35 degrees. This jacket is cut shorter, so it fit me perfectly (I am 5'1, 125 pounds, got a Mediium). The quilting is fragile, and I returned my jacket with loose threading to Patagonia to repair - but I got back a brand new jacket. Patagonia stands by its guarantee. I highly recommend.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
After what seemed like forever, I finally convinced myself to spend the money on this coat (the dividend and 20% off helped!) and I am so happy! I love this jacket - the weight of it is so deceiving of its warmth. I bike into work every day and it is perfect for chilly Colorado mornings. The other night I got caught across town in a freezing cold rain storm with no rain gear and had to bike 4 miles home in the pouring rain. I was dripping wet and soaked through to the bone everywhere EXCEPT under this jacket. I was really surprised that it didn't allow a single rain drop through. How awesome is that? Definitely worth every penny I paid for it!

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
I have worn this jacket almost every day since I bought it. I don't think I will ever wear my fleece again. I bought it to use as a warm layer on backpack trips. It's featherlight and packs down tiny, yet putting it on it's warm and cozy, perfect for taking the chill off in the mornings and evenings. On a rainy trip when I had to don my cold, clammy, waterlogged shell in the morning, the nanopuff was the perfect buffer to keep me dry. Another trip, I accidentally brought a wet themarest pillow (not enough time in the dryer) that was leaving a puddle on the tent floor by morning. I simply put this jacket between my pillow and my head and everything was warm and dry. I have found myself wearing it at home and in the office now, too. I am thinking I might have to get one in another color than black.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
I've had this jacket for about 3 months, and it's done really well in milder winter days, and is great at blocking the wind. It fits pretty well too, and I've generally been really pleased with it's performance and compactness. I really love Patagonia, and never had problems with anything of theirs, but like with another reviewer the quilt stitching has pulled/puckered in some locations, and has totally ripped in others. I haven't worn that much, and only for ordinary daily life, no hiking or anything. Admittedly I'm slightly clumsy and wear things out somewhat easily, but my other items have held up MUCH better. Luckily both Patagonia and REI are great about things like this, so I'm going to have to see about taking it back/exchanging it.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
I have a two nano pullovers a nano hoody and a nano full zip and the nano storm. I love this product. Now I'm jealous it comes in green. If they make the hoody in green I may have to buy it. I'm hoping they start to make a reversible one. Two colors for the price of one. Gingko and acai reversible full zip hoody would be amazing. If the stitching pulls it is not structural it is just the quilting. Patagonia repairs everything through their warentee program. The jacket is super awesome. I wear it jogging, walking the dog, skiing, as a midlayer on cold days, and an outerlayer on cool days.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
I use this jacket whenever I adventure out into the high country or off in the coastal mountains. It is a great lightweight layer to have as a just-in-case precaution or as a main insulation layer. I can honestly say that it is one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing that I own.
The price tag definitely turned me away at first, but considering how crucial this jacket has been for most of my recent adventures it has been worth every penny and more.
I have not had any problem with seams or loose strings, but I also make sure that if I am going to be running through any brush or going off trail that I keep in mind it is an insulation layer, not an against all rough edges layer.
I will definitely purchase another when this one has worn to the point of no return (doesn't appear to be for a while though).
Yet another satisfying Patagonia product.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
I ran into a climate crisis during the most bitter part of our early season when the snow was outrageous and the temps were rarely above 15 degrees. My old REI parka with the puffy down zip-out liner provided my One Garment to Rule Them All for decades until the shell lost its waterproofness (see Nikwax Tech Wash for why; it will be resurrected soon).
Then, n a rare warm blizzard after a few falls I was soaked. Yecch! REI just happened to have this item on sale at 30% off, so I was able to get over my aversion to Patagucci prices The nano puff was so thin and light, but I thought it would at least provide an inner layer that wouldn't keep the soggy away from my core.
How does such a thin layer, over a few layers of (REI) polarfleece underwear, transform me into a toasty girl even when it got bitter again? Although it's pretty, it's cut just right for movement and, in extreme weather, is made for layering without being loose goosey. Don't be fooled by how it feels when you first put it on; it quickly starts gathering heat. It beads up with water running over it, and in a washtub test the insulation got wet but was actually warm way before it dried.
Patagonia quality is superb.. As for durability, the fabric is tough for its weight. I'd wear it in town without a shell, but wouldn't think of wearing it without a light shell while hiking, running, fixing my car, etc.
Either Patagonia has changed their sizing or I've lost more chubbiness than I thought; the large fits me. I'm now getting the heavier micro-puff jacket (too bad REI doesn't carry it); layered over the nano it'll eliminate the fleece layer in zero-ish weather. I hunger for a Rubicon, but my frugality kicks in when I realize I really only need it for a few months each winter. When's REI's next big sale? Please?

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
Bought this solely on the reputation of Patagonia. Warm? Yes, surprisingly for its weight. I'm a runner who gets cold easily and I wasn't confident about buying anything other than down insulation. The problem? Shoddy construction. A friend pointed out "Hey, you've got a string hanging from your coat." I've had the jacket 18 days and the quilting has already come undone in 3 places. One loop has completely detached down the length of one sleeve. Totally disappointing. Returned.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Women's:
I researched this product to death before actually buying it. (I even had a very long telephone conversation with a guy at Patagonia.) I wanted a jacket to wear snowshoeing & hiking in cold weather which was not heavy or bulky, did not cause me to over-heat, and was easy to pack. I also wanted a jacket to take along snowmobiling just in case I got cold on the really cold days. I wanted something that did not take up much room, but did a good job when needed and justified the price.
The nano does all of the above and then some. I wore it snowshoeing with just a heavier wicking layer underneath in the Porkies, in Sylvania, and along the North Country Trail. I put it under my snowmobile suit on the really cold days while in Copper Harbor MI. I wore it in the car while traveling around the Michigan UP. I wore it in my sleeping bag while sleeping in a snow shelter during a BOW winter survival class in upper Wisconsin. It worked great every single time.
HOWEVER, I quickly discovered that if I was not active, the jacket was not enough to keep me warm. So take along another layer in your pack to put on if you stop to rest, snack, etc.
The complaints about the stitching/quilting being fragile were true. I seemed to snag the stitching on the sleeves several times. So be careful about what you rub up against.
I found the pockets on the jacket (which apparently are not included in the pullover verstion) to be very helpful.
The entire jacket stuffs into one of its pockets & is about the size of a clutch purse or cosmetic bag. Great to throw into a pack to take along just in case.
When it arrived from REI I thought it was too thin to do the job. But the nano never failed to deliver as long as I was moving while wearing it. It was well worth the price, and I plan to use it for many years to come.
