The rugged Klean Kanteen 27 fl. oz. stainless-steel water bottle with sport cap is a great companion on bike rides, workout sessions and mountain adventures!
- Bottle is made of tough 18/8 food-grade stainless steel that is BPA free and dishwasher safe
- Choose a bright color to match your style
- Polypropylene sport cap makes it easy to stay hydrated; cap features a quiet valve that allows a high flow of water
- Bottle mouth is wide enough to accept ice cubes
- Clip a carabiner (sold separately) to the loop on the sport cap and attach the bottle to a backpack or belt loop

Who makes a sports bottle lid that leaks? Anyone who is actively using this bottle (other than cycling) is going to end up with a wet pack, gym bag, or car seat and no water! I am very disappointed in this lid.

This was my first Klean Kanteen, and I love it!
The only problem for me was the sport top. I found a regular screw-on top for under $5 (I think at REI, can't remember) and we've been best buds ever since. I would definitely recommend the standard screw-on top over the sport cap.
A great water bottle... So far it's stood up to my abuse. Hooray Klean Kanteen!

Love the Klean Kanteen water bottles...the whole family has one and uses it daily for lunches, bike rides, etc. The wider mouth makes it easy to clean & simple to add ice cubes. Any non-insulated bottle will sweat so we purchased Built NY bottle totes to keep them cold & absorb the sweat. I love the fact that the unpainted ones can be used to boil water in a pinch and they don't retain any flavor or odor. As far as the "leaking" cap, the sport cap is not intended to be leak-free & is supposed to be kept upright; there are leak-proof caps available as an alternative. This bottle lasts forever & is well worth the money.

I was disappointed with this because I was looking for something I could throw in a bag. The lid does not seal, so water always drips out if it's not kept upright.
I bought this as an alternative to buying bottled water. I had planned to keep it until it paid for itself, but I left it behind at an airport. I'm not too broken up about it.

Got this for general use it will not keep your drink cold so kind of wasted my money right out the gate. It was my own fault for thinking it was more like a thermos. The lid when in use makes a noise that could wake the dead.
If you have a colored one and drop it the color flakes off.
I dare you to add lots of ice cubes then fill with water and try to hold it for 5 minutes with out frostbite setting in.
When you are done doing that and are leaving for the ER take care not to slip in the puddle that this thing will have left at your feet, This things sweats.

These are some of the best water bottles I have had in a while. The first one I bought came with the classic lid, which stayed nice and water tight. The first one I had lasted me a good two years, even after being dropped repeatedly, banged up, tossed, etc. It probably would of lasted a lot longer, however it was accidentally left behind on a field study. I ended up replacing this with one that came with the sport cap, which I found that I really didn't enjoy. The bottle was still the good old design, but the new caps are by no means leak-proof, which is also mentioned on the Klean Kanteen website. I ended up ordering a classic cap from the company to replace the sport cap,(Which was fairly cheap and even has a stainless steel cap option.), and once more I have a nice and sturdy water bottle.
Some things to keep in mind is that these will not retain the temperature of whatever contents you put in it, if you want one that does, go for the vacuum insulated bottles instead. In addition, these bottles have a tendency to dent a bit towards the bottom and top if put through abuse, but if you aren't too concern about aesthetics, then these will last you quite some time.

It's a water bottle and does what it's suppose to. While the bottle probably won't leak all over the place, potential buyers should note that the description for this product states that the lid is not leakproof. Also, the way the valve is designed, makes you sound like an angry chipmunk if you choose to use the sports cap.

We started with one Klean Kanteen & liked it so much that we purchased several more. The bottle doesn't retain smells or tastes no matter what you put into it. It cleans easily with a normal baby bottle brush (unlike Sigg) and since there's no lining, you don't have worry about cleaning it a special way. As far as the reviewer who complained about the bottle denting, I'd rather have a dent (and a perfectly usable bottle) than a plastic bottle with a big crack in it that I have to throw away. You won't be disappointed in Klean Kanteen, it's a quality product that will last you a lifetime.
