These are excellent for travelling, they dry super quick and repel light rain. I have worn them in 70 degree weather and in 25.

Bought these for use on the climbing wall and for summer backpacking trips. Material is flattering and overall very comfortable. Debating buying a second pair in grey.

Comments about prAna Monarch Convertible Pants - Women's:
Pros:
-fit! I am always on the hunt for durable field pants that fit my petite frame, and these are my first pair to really fit! Most convertible pants just look like they are falling off me, but these fit more like regular pants. I have to tie the drawstring tight, so there's a gap between the tie and the button, but compared to all-around too big, it's much better. (For reference, I'm 5'3" and ~105lb, and bought size 0 regular.)
-retain shape well with repeated use
-hold up to standard field abuses: dust, mud, rain, scrambling on rocks
Cons:
-the converted length does hit right at the knee, as other reviewers mentioned, which is a bit odd. I normally wear the pants full length, unless I'm wading in water, in which case at-the-knee works well.
- these pants get stinky after a week of heavy use in warm weather
For me, pros outweigh the cons. These are my go-to fieldwork pants!

I bought these pants to go snowshoeing. Worn with long underwear, these pants stayed dry, warm, and were perfect for trekking up a mountain. I'm excited to use these when I go camping in the summer.

Comments about prAna Monarch Convertible Pants - Women's:
These are great multipurpose pants, however I found them to run too long for my 5'4 height. The material is light weight and moves comfortably. The zip off bottoms allow for these pants to be used year round which is a great feature.

Comments about prAna Monarch Convertible Pants - Women's:
These are the most flattering outdoorsy pants I've ever put on...except that the claimed 33" inseam isn't accurate. I ordered online and when I received the pants, the inseam was more like 30.5". I'm 5'10" and this makes them pretty much unwearable for me! There's not enough fabric at the bottom hem to get any significant additional length out of them, either.
I'm so bummed. They're going back.

Finally splurged on these stylish zip-off pants and man are they great! Nice matte fabric has plenty of stretch to fit just about any body type. They are really comfortable and look like slacks enough to even wear at the office on a casual Friday. Then, I just zip off the bottoms and I'm ready for a hike right after work! They are perfect for camping & travel. They dry a bit slower than most quick-dry fabrics, but they don't make a swishing sound when you walk which is nice. I seriously wear these pants all the time, they are a great purchase!!!

Comments about prAna Monarch Convertible Pants - Women's:
These pants fit great and look good. I have a curvy bottom half and feel comfortable and stylish while I am out hiking. The only thing I would change about them is the placement of the zip off portion. I am just over 5' tall, so they are a little long, so would have been nice to get a petite size in the store. Overall, I am very happy with these pants.

Comments about prAna Monarch Convertible Pants - Women's:
After trying on literally about 50 pairs of hiking pants I ran into these. I am 5'10, 160 pounds so these pants fit great for my body style. They are a little long compared to the other 49 that I tried on, but length is what I need. They are not your typical "grandma" stylish hiking pants. They fit on my hips and don't sag in the "private" area. The belt loops are big enough to fit a belt so you can girl these up even more. This will be my second pair of these pants and will not waste my time with other brands. Highly recommended if you are on the taller, stylish side of female board.

Comments about prAna Monarch Convertible Pants - Women's:
I wear these with hiking boots, so the fact that they were a little long actually works well with a hiking boot, making them a good length. They are super comfy and the zip-off feature (from pants to shorts) really works, plus, they are flattering so I don't look like a complete loser out on the hiking trails. I am a very mild hiker, so this pant was perfect for my day-hikes over the summer.
