            I love the look and feel of these socks, however, the heels wore through in the first season of light wear. Considering the cost, these should last longer.

            I absolutely love the look of these socks, but the material on the heels and ball of your foot wears out extremely quickly. I am a big smartWool fan, but this specific style did not live up to my quality expectations.

            By far my favorite pair of socks! They are cozy and warm and have an incredible look. I purchased these in Seattle and every day after work, I slipped into these fantastic socks at home. I would say my only complaint would be that I wore small holes in the heel, which I later darned up. I'm sure this is just natural wear. I would 100% recommend these and I think they would make an awesome gift this holiday season!

              I bought 6 pair of smart wool socks 2 yrs ago, and they are just now wearing out after daily use! in winter I use a sock liner. I live and work on my ranch, every day I sock up and boot up and go take care of livestock in every kind of weather. with 1000 acres I cover lots of territory. I love the popcorn socks, they don't sag, or bunch up. I wash them in cold water with woolite, and air dry them. I saw lots of neg statements, perhaps its just in the care they are given. If they are dryer dried they will shrink up a bit and then not fit and wear out in spots, However with the care mine are given they last and last. I was excited to find some replacements

              I agree with the other reviews... heels on most of my SW's have worn out too quickly for my expectations. Although I love the "fun" of SmartWool, I have switched over to quaranteed Darn Tough of VT.
