well, I should have believed in some of the reviews I read. On my first time out with my bike I hit a medium sized pothole and the cover popped open and launched my phone across the road... luckily I was able to retrieve it however only to find a smashed glass front. Of course Apple wants $199 to provide me with a replacement. Perhaps BioLogic will send me the $199 for a product that doesn't hold up under real circumstances? If you were using this on a stationary bike, it should work. If you plan on riding this in the "real" world I ABSOLUTELY advise a rubber band or velcro strap around the unit. Best of luck to you.

I use it to hold the iPhone and use with MotionX GPS App to record and monitor my ride. But fastening assembly is weak at the horizontal pivot with plastic clips that popped apart but I'm lucky my phone is OK. The weather seals for cables come off too easily and are lost.

The handle bar clamp will not tighten very tight because it is plastic can not be too tight or it can strip. Because of this, it can slowly angle the phone away. The weather seal on the middle edges are not tight and there is a small gap.

Stays on for most rides, I just need to be careful and check it twice when using it. Don't bump it too hard and will replace it when I find something better.

Very well designed and it works as promised. My phone took off going down a mountain, but it surprisingly survived. User error... you need to make sure you snap the unit shut properly.

I've been looking for a well made bike mount for my iPhone 3GS for quite some time - one which allowed full operation of the phone while protecting it from rain, perspiration, dirt and grime. From others I've tested, the BioLogic comes closest to fitting the bill. While I find the price a bit high, it IS well made, protects the phone well (while allowing access to the headphone jack) and feels solid mounted on my road bike's handlebars. It's also easily operable through the plastic membrane/window - though sometimes more than one tap is required (in fairness, this could be because I also have a screen protector).

Installation is fairly rudimentary - especially for those who have installed other cycling accessories. You can use the phone in either portrait or landscape mode. My only complaint here is that I wish the bracket was more centered under the phone when attached; it's closer to the top than bottom for some reason. The whole installation is also fairly big - but then it's protecting an iPhone so what can you do? There was no vibration noise while riding or other issues with it installed and it does feel well attached. That said, if you're doing hard core mountain biking (jumping, etc.), you might want to be a bit more cautious with the BioLogic installed.

Overall, this is a worthy accessory for my bike and my iPhone. I enjoy running Cyclemeter and logging the plethora of information it records; the BioLogic doesn't seem to impede the GPS signal at all.

So, the price could be cheaper, but this IS one of those cases where it seems like you're getting most of your money's worth.

I used this product to keep hold of my I-phone, to and from school. However, I had to use Velcro across the bottom of the case to keep it shut. If you hit anything beyond a moderate bump, it will come open and your phone crashing down.

My husband and I both have one of these and the only time we had a failure was when my husband didn't get the little latch snapped tight and he rode over a bumpy section of road. His phone dropped to the ground and broke the screen - but it was totally his fault, not the case's! we've got iphone4s now and we're anxiously awaiting a case that fits them. We're still using these with some added padding to keep them from moving around inside the case. Absolutely love this case!

3 miles into my first ride with this iPhone mount case I hit a bump at about 30mph. The case snapped off the mount and broke on impact, ruining my iPhone. The design of the connection seemed a little flimsy when I installed but I really wanted a way to use my iPhone on my bike. VERY EXPENSIVE MISTAKE!!!
