The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromGreat massage tool for quick recovery I am an avid runner and so is my boyfriend. I have the "travel stick" as well as the Protec massage roller. I actually prefer the protec roller better because it is sturdier. The stick bends if you put too much pressure and gets old easily in my opinion. I have to say that this massage roller works much better when someone else rolls you with it. When I use it on my own it is ok but when my boyfriend massage rolls me with it, it is great. We are both runners and when we don't use this we notice a huge difference. Our muscles are sore and tight and it takes longer to recover. I was surprised to see negative reviews because it has been great for us.

by fromLove this!! This is awesome to use after runs! It has really helped to prevent my calves and hamstrings from tightening up and I am not so sore the next day. I have tried other types of these products, but I like that the Pro-Tec roller masasger does not bend, it seems to allow for a deeper massage. Some of their other products have helped me through several running injuries, they are worth checking out!

by fromPerfect for what I needed ..... After looking at numerous similar massagers at sports stores and various expos, this one got me. It does what I need-I like that the rollers are separately articulated, and that it comes in a "cool" blue as opposed to the garish orange etc. that others come in....Also love the small nodule at the end of each grip, which means you can exactly pinpoint an area that aches and soothe the nerve thereby relieving the hurt. My only caveat is that as others have mentioned, there is lubricating fluid in the rod which can leak if the rod is subjected to extreme heat. Just make sure it stays at room temperature or less and you'll be fine.

by fromMassage for Ninety-nine percent of US For the ninety-nine percent of us who can't afford a personal masseuse and have to DIY, this is a convenient way to massage sore or stiff muscles on legs, arms, neck and back. It comes with a nice pamphlet of instructions. The rollers slide so you can adjust them to be either apart or together. Easy to carry with you to use either before or after you exercise. I tried one of those orange foam rollers, but it didn't work out well in a parking lot! The one with plastic rollers reminded me of a kids toy. It may not be perfect, or the choice of elite athletes, but I find it very helpful and worth the money.

by fromJust not good. I thought that REI buyers were supposed to test as many products as they could in a category and then choose to carry the best peforming products for the best price. Unfortunately for REI customers, REI buyers failed at their jobs. There are definitely better hand-held "massage rollers" out there including The Stick and the Tiger Tail. Do yourself a favor and buy the best somewhere else.
