The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Vittoria Randonneur Cross Pro Reflective Tire - 700 x 32:
I ride about 100 miles a week in mild Seattle weather -- typically on dedicated bike paths, bike lanes, and raw city streets. My odometer just turned over 2000 miles with these latest set of tires and I've only had to replace one flat -- due to a nasty staple the size of my lower thumb -- that only a tire made of cement would have prevented. In my opinion, they are the perfect tires for those commuting as they are durable and resilient, and yet have good speed to them.
Like the previous poster, I'm continually amazed every time they roll over shattered glass, sharp metal, and other hazardous junk w/o problem. I do my best to avoid such things but sometimes it can't be avoided and it's moment like these that I really love these tires. I've ridden over some things that would have put me on the sidelines repairing flats before, but now I just smile as I'm rolling down the road.
The side reflection is a comfort particularly if you do any riding at night. I didn't realize how well they show up because I'm always on the bike, but I saw them illuminate and shine one night while it was parked. Even the best lights often don't provide any visibility from the side. If the tire wasn't so good, I might be tempted to buy it now for this feature alone.
In short, these tires give me peace of mind with their low maintenance and reliability. So much so, I'm buying them again. It's nice to know when I'm out in the middle of nowhere that the odds of me going down due to flat are slim... about the odds of running over a large shipping staple at just the right angle. They have exceeded my expectations.

Comments about Vittoria Randonneur Cross Pro Reflective Tire - 700 x 32:
Have used these tires for the past 5 months. I commute to work an average of 4-5 days per week. About 20 miles per day. Have yet to have a flat and have run through some nasty things on the side of the streets in Salt Lake City. Reflective side walls are a nice touch help in low light. Have ridden these tires in snow and rain again no problems. I have the 700 x 32 and the are much more forgiving than the 700 x 23's I was running before. Have an older road rike and the 700 x 32's just fit in the frame. I would buy these again for sure and will when the time comes.

Comments about Vittoria Randonneur Cross Pro Reflective Tire - 700 x 32:
These were recommended to me at the Boston store as a great winter commuter tire.
They absolutely are.
There are two major downsides though. The tread pattern looks utterly harmless at first. "Why, I can fly across pavement with ease!" you might say, running your fingers across the shallow treads. You're wrong. It's just enough tread to get you out of trouble when things get wet or a mild trail gets a little hairy, and it's also just enough tread to make dry pavement kind of a slog. For road commuters who value speed and efficiency, these are a winter tire only.
The other major downside is that these are the single most difficult tires I have ever had the displeasure of mounting. They are unbelievably, horrifyingly difficult to mount. People say gatorskins are a pain. If gatorskins are a pain to mount, rando crosses are a root canal without anesthesia. Poseidon help you if you get a flat on your way to work, you are walking it.
