Comments about Black Diamond Moxie LED Headlamp:
First thing first -- LOVE THE DIMMER! It allows me to light up my to the bathroom in the middle of the night and also cook alongside my fiance without blinding him. Sometimes you just don't need that much light! And I did my research -- this headlamp combines the best in battery life, brightness, distance, weight, and style for the price. Highly recommended. The men's version is the Cosmo.

I bought this for my housemate who rides her bike home after dark occasionally. She loves it and say it is super bright and works great! Good price, too.

Comments about Black Diamond Moxie LED Headlamp:
I like this lamp- the cool design and it holds up well. So far so good. With the exception of the headband. Its flimpsy and floppy and I always feel like I'm untangling it. I like it to stay where its adjusted to fit my head. Instead its always moving anytime I try pick it up by the band. Good lamp, but terrible headband.

Comments about Black Diamond Moxie LED Headlamp:
During the winter, I most often have to run in the dark. Since Oregon seems to have something against street lights, it's pitch black along my routes in some places. I've tried a couple other headlamps and clip on lights, but they haven't provided adequate illumination. Moxie is plenty bright, and the nice wide, adjustable band keeps it from slipping off my bulbous head. Its adjustable beam allows me to aim it down at the road so I can see where I'm shuffling, or higher up for maximum visibility.
I can't vouch for its durability, as I've only had it a couple months, but it seems solid. Yay Moxie!

Comments about Black Diamond Moxie LED Headlamp:
loved this lamp for the first few months but then suddenly when i really needed it, it went out! seems like the batteries are now loose in the compartment (i read this same complaint about the BD Cosmos headlamp). i tried a few different brands of batteries inside cause sometimes even AAAs can be slightly different sizes. i don't know why tonight it decided to do this, as it was working great through several trips and stuff around the house until now. if i shake or squeeze it, i can get it to work, but that's not reliable so it's going back. it was a replacement for a tikka that my boyfriend got me several years ago. the tikka case eventually cracked but it still worked so perhaps we will go back and exchange for one of those again. (doesn't sound like cracking is a problem anymore with the tikka, and besides, three years of perfect use is pretty good...) this moxie just really let me down. and no, it wasn't like i was stuck out on some epic solo night hike. i was really just trying to hang laundry out in our backyard on a somewhat moonless night. (we have neither dryer, nor any lights around our clothesline.) i know, doing laundry doesn't sound that "epic,", but when you've got 3 cats with ringworm and really need anything that they've touched cleaned right away, and you're injured and not feeling well and the last thing you want to be doing is putting laundry out in the middle of a cold night, but it's the first stretch of really clear days forecast ahead and you want your laundry to catch every bit of morning sun it can get, and you happen to have injured yourself falling while carrying the cat-crate to the vet, which freaked the cat out and made him pee on his crate blanket, which now also needs to be washed, not to mention the big grass stains you got falling on your light-colored jeans because you thought you were being smart by not wearing dark-colored pants to take a nervous & shedding white & orange cat to the vet... well, you just want something to shine on your clothespins, darnit, so you can see what you're doing out there! oh, and your boyfriend, who always keeps a spare headlamp around, is out for the evening and you've looked everywhere and can't find it...
