The K2 Shane McConkey Tribute skis feature graphics inspired by Shane's contributions to skiing, and they're meant for days when it's hard to keep a smile off your face in deep, fluffy pow.

On March 26th, 2009, pioneering skier Shane McConkey died in a ski base jumping accident in the Italian Dolomites
These individually numbered, limited edition skis are build on the K2 Pontoon chassis, and all net proceeds from the sales of the skis will be donated to Shane's family
Powder-specific sidecut tapers from a massive 160mm in the tip to 130mm in the waist and 120mm in the tail—now that's fat!
Perfect for the days when the sky opens up and dumps fresh powder, these skis will also work well when you're hiking for you turns
Extremely lightweight aspen-and-fir core produces a natural flex, allowing the ski to achieve full contact with the snow throughout the turn
Torsion Box design uses triaxial-braided core to create a high degree of rebound and performance
Triaxial braiding wraps an interlocking fiberglass weave around the wood core to ensure torsional stiffness
To heck with camber!—K2 developed a surf-inspired rocker to bow up the tip and tail, so you'll float even in the deepest pow
Held base to base, skis bow apart 20mm at the ski-to-snow contact point at the tip; rocker extends 40cm in from the contact points
20/40 tip rocker initiates turns easily and offers agility in the chutes, and normally cambered tails increase speed in powder and enhance maneuverability
Touch of standard sidecut underfoot gives you control and stability to navigate your way back to the trailhead, heli, cat or lift
Powder tip places the widest point of the ski further back than on other K2 skis, resulting in predictable performance in variable backcountry conditions
Hybridtech sidewalls blend the performance characteristics of sidewalls with the forgiving flex of cap construction in the tip and tail
Hybridtech offers responsiveness and power underfoot and maintains smooth initiation and easy exits from turns
Includes tip and tail holes that facilitate setting ski anchors, attaching skins (not included) and building a rescue sled; remove plugs from skis with a flathead screwdriver
Flat tails make it easy to set a ski anchor, and notches in tails help skin clips stay centered
Asymmetric graphics line up to inspire flight while you pilot these big boys down the mountain
Stick to the powder when you can—the Pontoons prefer 95% ungroomed and 5% groomed
K2 Pontoon skis require bindings with wide brakes
