The Chariot Carriers XC Ski kit converts your Chariot carrier system for use on cross-country ski trails. Strap on your skis, bundle up your little one and head out for wintertime adventures.

Fits all single and double Cheetah, Cougar, CX and Corsaire XL chassis (sold separately); for 2010, the kit has been redesigned to reduce drag and improve overall performance

Comments about Chariot Carriers XC Ski Kit:

I have the slightly older ski kit and we love it. It is very well built, very easy to set up, packs up well. Skiing with it was lots of fun. It has almost no gliding resistance in the snow. It is a much better pulk than the sled based type. It tracks straight and smoothly while skiing. It is NOT at all "tippy" or unstable even through fast corners. Because the skis pivot at the rear of the carrier, the long tow poles act as a sort of leaf spring to drastically cut back on the jerkiness the between the power and glide phases of skiing. I used it skate skiing but I am sure it would work just as well while classical skiing.
It might seem like it costs a lot but it is well worth it.

I bought this product nearly a year ago. The purpose was to bring my 3 year old son snow shoeing. My wife works weekends so my son and I spend them together.

If not for this product, we would not be able to get outdoors in snowy conditions. We're now typically snow shoe for about 3 hours per trip. We use rugged trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. The skis handle dips and bumps well. It works great on ice or powder, up to 2 feet.

It is a great workout pulling a toddler up hills. My son stays warm inside and away from the wind. He often takes naps.

The only cons are that the skis rotate on the axis, and in deep powder the noses sometimes dig into the snow and get stuck. Also, it's not possible to make sharp turns because of the length of the rig.

The freedom to get out with my son in the winter makes this purchase worth the cost.
