The Scott Sportster P55 women's bike is an around-town, all-around ride that balances comfort with versatility, thanks to plenty of gears, a road-smoothing suspension fork and powerful disc brakes.

  • Aluminum frame is sturdy and designed for a blend of comfort and efficiency; flat handlebar encourages an upright riding position for improved visibility
  • Step-through design makes mounting and dismounting the saddle quick and easy
  • SR Suntour NEX 4110 suspension fork provides 63mm of travel to soften out bumps and jolts
  • Shimano 48/38/28 crankset is paired with an Acera rear derailleur and a 11-30 cassette for 24 suitable gear choices for almost any terrain
  • Shimano mechanical disc brakes deliver powerful deceleration and stops, even in wet conditions
  • Large 700c wheels with plush, semislick tires cruise along easily for a swift, sporty ride
  • Outfit your P55 Sportster with fenders and a rack (sold separately)

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.
