The NEMO Losi 2P is not as light as NEMO claims. These are the actual weights:

tent body 959 g
tent fly 756 g
poles, main 401 g
poles, crossing 263 g
sack, tent 204 g

So the minimum weight (body, fly, poles) is 5.24 pounds, not the 4.9 pounds that NEMO claims. With stakes, guy line, and the sack you are looking at just over 6 pounds. If you are backpacking, you might want to look at lighter tents.

I really appreciate how much thought went into the design of this tent. It's quick to set up and take down. I especially like the tents dry bag. Again, well thought out and very easy to pack the tent away. The Jakes foot system keeps the tent and fly secure and taught. The only draw back in set up I have found is with the black swivel clips which there are four. It's a little awkard to get both poles lined up properly in this swivel but with each set up it goes alittle easier. Maybe a little heavy for backpacking but I plan on using it mostly for seakayak camping.

I was looking for a tent I could sit up in, unlike my single person I have used for years. I spent some time looking for a 2 person to go on a solo bike trip so I could spread out a bit and have some privacy for changing and cleaning up a bit at the end of the day. Knowing that I was going to be staying in some public camp grounds along the way. I was in the store looking through the bag after bag of tents in the bin when I turned to look at this big green thing that was set up behind me, the Nemo. Never heard of them. After looking over this tent for a while, taking it down and setting it back up, I really liked it alot. Bought it and took it on the solo trip I had planned. First night, rain. Second night, rain. Trird day and night, rain. Forth day rain, followed by a night with winds like I had never camped in before. The tent was dry and strong, totally wonderful! We have since used this for the last 2 summers as our goto camping tent, added the Nemo 4 person for the kids to sleep in when we go as a family. Buy the foot print and the paw print for your new tent to keep it for years to come. We often will just use the paw print with the sleeping pads in it and bring a light down comforter in a stuff sack for summer camping, works great!

I bought this tent nearly two years ago. I have used it now enough to have tested it in all sorts of conditions. I love this tent.

It's super easy to set up and take down and has ample room inside to sit up and play cards with your partner and ride out a rain storm. And boy will it ride out a storm. Fully staked out, this thing is sturdy.

We love the dual entrances and dual vestibules. It's great to be able to get up in the middle of the night and not disturb your partner. Also the gear organizer is an awesome feature, with plenty of pockets for all your stuff.

I have the gear loft, foot print and paw print. Yeah they add a lot of weight but they only come with us when we car camp. And we do a lot of that, this tent has been everywhere with us, from float tripping the Green River in Canyonlands NP to the rain forests, beaches and Deserts of Australia.

Yeah, this is not a light tent for one person, but if you are with a partner, leave the stuff sack and organizer pocket behind and split it between packs, we have no worries when we take this one for a few nights on the trail.

The stuff sack is one of the nicest features of the tent, makes it easy to put away and keep organized.

Prior to buying this tent I had next to no experience camping. It went up in minutes! There was a little confusion about how to attach the stakes, but it was quickly resolved. The first night I stayed in it there were high winds and I was a little concerned, but it made it through the night without a problem and I was cozy inside. This is a wonderful tent no matter what your experience!

I've used this tent numerous times and it has never let me down. Very spacious and sets up in a snap. This tent may be a little heavier than some of the others but it more than pays off in comfort. Lots of head room while sitting, with two doors and two huge vestibules. If a little extra weight scares you, maybe this isn't the tent for you, but at 5'10" 220lbs, for me, it just doesn't get any better than this.

If you feel claustrophobic in small tents, then this is the answer. Interior feels extremely spacious. Lots of gear stowing, particularly with loft and side panels. PawPrint great for keeping your pad in place. Love the two doors....I'm 58, and had no problem packing this tent 10 miles into camp. I did damage a pole early on (the casing split), but NEMO replaced it right away at NC, even though it was through my own mishandling. So you get great customer service to boot!

For a 2 person tent, this one is a little heavy for long, heavy duty backpacking but it really depends on how far you are going. However, for a two person tent it is very very roomy and comfortable. I have had two person tents that were not nearly as roomy. Also the video that is on the REI website showing how to put the tent up is so helpful. It made doing it for the first time a breeze. Have two doors is so convenient when sharing the tent and the vestibules are very large. I highly recommend this tent but if you were doing extensive backpacking you might opt for a smaller one that saves you a pound.

The first weekend I owned this tent, I took it to the Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas. I set it up once before I left for practice. Out on site it went up quick and easy. The second night of a 3 night trip, it rained all day, with 20 -30 mph winds and around 8:00 that evening it started sleeting and snowing until 6:00 am the following morning. It held up great no problems at all. Great purchase worth every penny.

Having almost no experience camping, I was worried about setting up my tent for the first time in a windy valley. However, the tent went up in no time and it stayed sturdy and warm through the (windy) night. It is a little heavy for long backpacking trips, but that is something that could easily be solved by using a 1P tent for those traveling alone. This is a very well thought-out and well constructed product.
