Comments about CamelBak Quick Grip Bottle:

This is the best handheld on the market today, bar none. I own several other handhelds from reputable manufacturers, and they never see the light of day. Their biggest downfall is leaking from the spout and/or lid. The CamelBak lid screws on easily with no leaks, but the best part is the spout. The spout has an internal silicone valve (like a heart valve) which effectively shuts off the flow of fluid unless the bottle is squeezed. The spout also has a positive mechanical shutoff if required. When I run with these, I usually leave them unlocked with no leaks! Super-easy to drink on the run. Insulation keeps your electrolyte from heating up from the heat of your hand. The zippered pouch holds two, maybe three gels. I purchased two for my long runs and absolutely love them.

Comments about CamelBak Quick Grip Bottle:

I just tried this out on one of my shorter long runs (6 miles), and I got tired of having this on my hand after about a mile. It seemed a bit less of a burden after I had drank about half of the water, but all of this is probably to be expected. I still gave it 4 stars because I didn't really have to hold onto it because the strap is adjustable, so I could tighten it. Overall, I think this is a really good product for someone who wants to hydrate on the long runs (particularly in the summer!) but doesn't want to have a hydration belt or pack sloshing around.

Comments about CamelBak Quick Grip Bottle:

I'm a recreational runner (20ish miles a week) and like most of us, I don't drink enough while I'm out . Before having this bottle, I routinely ran 10k + runs without any water at all, it's about perfect for that length. While it's true you can't open this with your teeth, it's attached to one hand, and I happen to have 2 available to me while I'm running, so it's not a big deal. Additionally, depending on your cadence you can actually run with the "lockout" open and not spill water on yourself (then it doesn't need any opening at all).

I have a waist pack with 2 bottles from the north face for longer runs / etc, but I tend to like to run as unencumbered as possible, after all, I'm out there to get away, not to carry the world with me.

Overall, another quality product, and it appears that the "holder" will take any standard size water bottle, which is a plus as well.

Comments about CamelBak Quick Grip Bottle:

I am a beginning runner, after investing in two Camelbak backpacks for hiking, I didn't want to shell out the cash to get another one for running, plus I was at a loss on where I would stash my fuel gels. This hand held is perfect for my short runs 45 minutes or less. I haven't experienced any issues with it thus far and it's comfortable in my hand. I like the lid design but for people who like to run with two handhelds you can't open it with your teeth. For longer runs I use the handheld in addition to the Camelbak belt with gel flask.
