Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 UL Footprint:
Very nice Lightweight tent and foot print. Fits easily in the main tent bag. What more can I say it's a footprint.

Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 UL Footprint:
I went on my first solo backpacking trip in Haleakala National Park, and it was very perfect when I set up my Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 UL tent for two nights at two separate campsites. I was completely dry as well as inside the tent. Highly recommended!

Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 UL Footprint:
I reserve 5-star reviews for products which are truly exceptional, to better aid my fellow consumer in making informed purchase decisions. To the best of my knowledge the purpose of a tent footprint is to protect the underside of the tent itself from damage. For this purpose this footprint gets the job done, and for an impressively low weight. Yes, I actually tested it out in the field where it was unreasonable to clear the area entirely of small stones, pine cones and needles, and other potentially damaging objects.
And one night there was a steady rain too. The description says that the design prevents water from puddling under the tent. Well there are more factors involved than just footprint design, such as site selection. In my case there was a little water that pooled under the tent in low spots (mostly under the footprint). But I'm not sure why that matters much, after all the base of the tent itself is waterproof. The next day the footprint (and bottom of the tent) dried relatively quickly, so I didn't need to pack it wet.
I recommend this product because it performs its primary function, protection, at a very minimalist weight. There are some water-related benefits too, but those are not much of a factor in my opinion.

Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 UL Footprint:
This footprint works well in protecting the tent floor and contents from underlying debris. It's relatively light weight.
However, even when setting up exactly as the instructions suggest, at the foot of the tent the fly seems to dribble water directly onto the footprint. This channels the water under the tent between the footprint and the floor, resulting in a soggy sleeping bag. The problem would be easily solved if the footprint were slightly smaller!
I'm leaving for a three week trip on the cold and rainy Appalachian Trail and my confidence in this tent/footprint combo is at an all-time low. The tent itself is awesome, comfortable, roomy, well-made, breathable, etc.
