Comments about Teva Tirra Sandals - Women's:
Got two pairs, one for daily use and hiking, the other for an upcoming trip to Italy. Wanted to try them on the trail to see how they protected against uneven surfaces, as the cobblestones in Italy can really make your feet ache. These sandals were GREAT on the rocky trail! I've never hiked in sandals and was a little dubious about how they would fare, but they were awesome! I will hike in these again and again and am so relieved to have found a great pair of shoes for Italy. The best feature is the cushion under the heel - supportive but soft and really comfortable.

These sandals are great! They ankle strap does rub a little if you aren't used to an ankle strap. It doesn't rub like leaving a red mark because there is neoprene on the strap, but if you're not usually wearing something around your ankle it might be sore for a few days. They have good arch support and the straps up top and over the feet are adjustable, which is nice. I don't want to say they cause your feet to sweat, but mine did.

I have been looking for a pair of watershoes that would look kind of cool to replace my current pair. I am a big Teva fan and thought these would be great. When I 1st put them on I loved them. However, after wearing them around the house, the straps began to cut into my ankle. There just is't adequate padding. It actually felt good to take them off.

As always, the adjustable straps on a Teva product are the to guarantee a comfortable fit. Just wore these on a kayaking trip, and every female wanted them ;-)
I do have very high arched feet, and the ankle strap seems a bit shorter than usual, it barely catches the velcro. Unlike every other Teva product I own, this one catches on the carpet when I sit on the floor cross legged. It's more amusing than anything else but a little annoying to hear the velcro rip free~
Still just an awesome product tho, drys out very quickly.

Had to replace some very old water sandals just before annual float trip. Were fantastic in & outside of canoes & in the river; would be great for hiking & outdoor festivals & yard work too. I could live in these all summer long - that's saying a lot as I have feet that are difficult to fit, due to bunions.

Comments about Teva Tirra Sandals - Women's:
I need arch support and have only had one other pair of sandals that have been good. They were finally wearing out after a few years. The problem was they were leather. I needed something that could get wet and still be comfy. I also needed something that had a little support, was cushy, and stayed on without any effort.
These are amazing. I broke them in a little just to get my feet used to them and the straps soft, then took them on my adventure to the Galapagos. We raced off to a "cliff" jumping point, which was really a ravine, as the sun set quickly. None of us were smart enough to bring flashlights, and as it got darker, I headed back before everyone else, knowing that I wouldn't be able to see all the way back. It was all lava rock, some of which was loose and some of it was like stepping stones- you had to jump from one to the next. Luckily, I didn't jump in the water and get my feet wet like everyone else. I think my feet would have slid a little in the shoes. It was pitch black by the time I got halfway back. I only could go by memory and the bushes around me. I wasn't paying attention much on the way there, because we were all running to get there. My legs were super tired but I picked my way back step by step in the dark. If I had had any other shoes on, I would have fallen, but even though I came close at least a few times, these shoes gripped the rocks and the straps held.
I would have seriously hurt myself if I'd fallen and I am so grateful these shoes were so awesome. The neoprene is the best part, as even when wet, they didn't bother me (as long as there wasn't sand in there). It also makes the straps soft both when dry and wet, like extra cushion. They are grippy and the velcro makes them adjustable- If I hadn't been able to tighten them just before going back on that trail things would have turned out very differently. The only downside is that because they are strapped in multiple places on your feet, sand and little pebbles can get caught. If the straps are on the loose side you can flick it out but most of the time I had to undo the strap a bit. I even wore them while snorkeling because I hate water shoes. I was careful not to expose the side of my foot or my toes to the urchins, but they really protected the bottom of my feet and on the slick rocks at the beach, they gripped fairly well ( can't expect too much when algae is involved). I love them. When these wear out I'm getting another pair =D.

Bought for vacation involving lots of walking, city streets, stairs, hot weather. Wore them almost daily. Great fit for my narrow feet. Loved gray color. These became my everyday sandals last sumer. Just ordered a second pair in Algiers Blue although originals show little wear.

I took these shoes on a dive trip to Bonaire last year and they looked great going from the dive boat to dinner in the evenings. I'll be ordering the turquoise ones to add to the black ones I already have.

There are 3 velcro straps & since I have one foot that's wider than the other, I always have problems getting a pair of shoes to fit. These I can adjust to each foot! It's great! They are supportive for an on the go person. When it gets colder (CA's version of cold! ;-) I still wear them, with socks. I'm on my third pair. I buy black, to be neutral but am eyeing the pretty bright blue & hot pink colors! I'm hooked!
