I tried ExOfficio Bikini Briefs first but they don't provide enough coverage in the back. Once I started moving the underwear readjusted until one or both cheeks hung out the sides. I tried both medium and large size and found the same problem with both. I am 5'6" 135 lbs with a full butt, but hardly overweight. Maybe it's my ego talking, but a large should cover everything.

The REI brand fit great! I went with a large and everything is contained plus the undies stay put.

Unlike the other reviewer I found these to dry quickly. Usually in just a couple of hours, but absolutely overnight! I brought three pair to Europe and handwashed them nightly and it was all I needed.

I still wear them daily for sweaty work in the garden and walking and they are holding up just fine.

Also, I didn't experience an odor problem as the other reviewer had. Perhaps I am a more vigorous washer? In any event, the always pass the sniff test with me.

These are fantastic! They really cover your butt and stay there. They are very comfortable and the quick dry quality makes for a much more pleasant work out. They are terrific for every day wear, too since they don't stick to your clothes- skirts glide over them so I'm never worried about the "shelf" effect.

These are both comfy and well fitting undies. I have been needing undies for hiking & snowshoeing for a while. I found these at REI and liked the softness. I wore them on a short hike today - they stayed right where they were supposed to. No weggies! I like 'em! I have not washed them to see how fast they dry (just got them) but based on the fabric, I'd be surprised if it was anything other than speedy.

I'm on an multi week bicycle ride and brought 3 pairs of underwear. Two of the ex officio and this REI pair. Hate the REI pair. They feel wet all the time - when I'm wearing them and when I've left them out to dry after washing them. Pretty frustrated to have spent so much for them...

These are just ordinary panties that I could buy at a discount store. I thought I was getting something nicer than that. I would rather have had the ex officio panties(that I usually buy) but I thought I would try the fabric on these. They looked like they wouldn't cling to fabrics. They didn't cling but they look like everything else in my panty drawer- a plain black undie that I got for $3!!!

I spent 7 weeks on a road trip this summer and wanted to pack light. I like the material of the Ex-Officio, but not the fit. The REI undies fit great, but they really hold odor, and don't dry fast at all. I washed out a reg. pair of undies & the REI pair at the same time, and hung them up next to each other that night. The next morn they were both just as damp. I'm putting that I don't recommend them because there is nothing "extra" about them.
