        This jacket fit great when I tried it on and I was really happy to find it. I had been looking for a good, lightweight jacket and this one seemed to be exactly what I wanted.

        In actual use, however, it was a completely different story. This jacket catches the wind badly and makes a loud flapping noise if you are going at a speed any greater than about 10 mph. I tried to move the zipper around to different positions, including all the way up, to see if it would make a difference but no matter what I did nothing helped. No other bike jacket I have does this, including my other Novara jacket.

        The other big problem is that the back of the jacket won't stay put and creeps up your back as you pedal. I can't figure out why this jacket does that since it seems to fit correctly and the back is a bit longer than the front as it should be, but maybe it's the type of material or something about the band along the bottom of the jacket. This is also not a problem that I have had with either of my other bike jackets.

        I'm really disappointed. It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, but it simply does not perform well in its intended function.

          Super super light in weight. Zips easily into its own pocket as promised. Very very very compact and can be squished to be even tinier.

          The only con I have found is that indeed it flaps and makes a huge racket going at elevated speeds. I found this not a problem until about over 15 mph or more and pretty darned loud over 30 mph.

          On the plus, aside from super light and compact, it kept me totally warm and toasty during a long ride in hail and sleet (in MA in the spring) and recently on a long quick decent kept me nice of wind free and warm. It was water proof enough for the sleet and hail ride that I did not get wet under it that I noticed (I had it over a regular vest over other stuff because it was pretty cold even before the hail started).

          I am getting my girlfriend one!

          Pros:

          - This jacket is very lightweight (like 3-4 oz.)
          - Packs up very small as well
          - I have a red one that looks nice
          - Seems plenty breathable

          Cons:
          - I'm a tall guy, and regular clothing is hit and miss for me (tall sizes rarely available). This is on the short end for it's width, which usually isn't the case for cycling clothing
          - Packing the jacket and zipping it up is impossible without snagging the zipper multiple times
          - Yes, it does flap in the wind. But for an emergency jacket (which is how you should treat this) I don't mind.

            Bought to keep dry if caught in a shower or rain during a long ride. The fit was OK although a bit loose. Yellow color and a couple of reflective strips were a plus.

            Unfortunately the rain protection was minimal. The lightest shower immediately penetrated down to the skin and fabric became glued to my body. It was better than nothing but not what I was looking for.

            Love how compact it gets. There's no beating this if you need to fold it down to fit in a jersey pocket or even in your water holder. It kept me warm on a cold ride all while being light as air. The only draw back so far (1 ride) is that it did not keep me dry during a recent ride in the rain. Now, I was riding for 2 1/2 hours, so maybe my expectations are a bit high? But I was soaked afterwards. For the price though, you may want to try it to see if your results vary. One soaked ride hasn't ruined this for me, but it's been put on notice.

                As one other reviewer wrote, this jacket creeps up your back and even with the zipper zipped to the neck, the loose fabric on the upper arm and shoulder area flaps so loudly that it's distracting and annoying. I even tried to devise a way to keep the back taut by attaching a clip to the seat or tool pack. Maybe rubber bands around the upper arms would help. I think basically that the fabric is simply too light for the intended function.

                  I actually ended up liking this jacket after some debate. It's very breathable which is seemingly hard to find in a jacket of any price let alone one this inexpensive. A medium was snug but fit very well on my 5'11" 170lb frame. It's very light so it should be layered when it's cold. It's got some reflective decals on it which is always good. Keeps the wind off enough to let your thermals do their job. I have had no issues with buffeting but that could be because I wear a pack. I can imagine people might have a tough time finding the right size. It's meant to be snug and it appears to be cut for thinner folk. I have not tried it in the rain but I plan on spraying it with something if I end up getting too wet.
