The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Wide-Mouth Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 fl. oz.:
I purchased this Klean Kanteen for myself, an average everyday Joe.
It fits perfectly on the side of my pack and provides plenty of drinking water when I am on the go.
Selecting a BPA free bottle was important to me, and I had heard good things about the quality and durability of this product.
I haven't had any issues with this product whatsoever.

This bottle is great for everyday use or boiling water on a multi day hike... I've used it for both in the first week of owning it. I used steel wool to scrub the charred bottom clean and it went right back in to my commuting bag.

Beware that the lids to these bottles have gaskets prone to falling out. The lid without the gasket is as good as not having a lid, even if it screwed on tightly. So, not only will you be left with a problem of getting a new gasket or lid, which I am sure won't be free, but an expensive water bottle that leaks like a sieve.

My 1L Sigg bottle was showing signs of wear. After pulling flakes of the Sigg lining out of my mouth, it was time to find a new bottle that doesn't use plastics/resins to line their bottles.
While slightly heavier than my Sigg, it doesn't noticeably impact the weight of my pack during a day hike. The slightly smaller capacity concerned me a bit, but I usually take a Platypus bottle as well. It is plenty of water to have around the office/house/car.
In a humid climate, the bottle sweats heavily, but so did my previous bottle. This isn't something that bothers me.
The wide-mouth is a big plus for this Klean Kanteen. It's easy to mix up powdered Gatorade, and as easy to clean as a travel coffee mug.
The lid is tighter than my Sigg and occasionally hard to open, but I don't have any problems with leakage.
Between ease-of-use and chemical-free construction, I plan on using it for quite a while.

Bought this last weekend and have loved it so far. The only down side is it loses temp quick. Someone suggested putting beer coozies on the bottle and it works great. Keeps cold liquid cold and warm liquid warm. I have also dropped it once or twice full of water and it has held up great. Can't ask for me.

Bought this for an everyday water bottle. Filled up for the walk home and noticed that two miles later my green drink had covered my shirt and where it was clipped to my bag with a 'biner. The plastic leak guard around the rim of the bottle came off by day two causing even more leaking despite how tightly I closed the lid. This bottle would not leak if you were to leave it on a desk but if you plan to cycle, hike, or bring it along on a river trip you'll have to minimize turbulence. However the bottle also has so much condensation with cold liquids that it will leave a ring of fluid around the base of the bottle onto your table.

I bought my first KK off the man who started the company at the Davis spring fair in the early 00's. This is the best product for all uses, it fits a bike bottle holder, car cup holders, will last forever, easy to keep clean ect. The wider opening is not better just different. I use two beer can sleeves, one over the bottom and one over the top (cut an opening for the screw top) to insulate and pad it at no cost.

I bought this as an addition to my stainless REI bullet insulated bottle. The price was right, but the performance is lacking. With daily use for bike/bus commute, the lid's sealing gasket tended to come undone, so subsequent fillings meant liquid leaked out. The lid is a little hard to keep clean, and as a result, the seal isn't the greatest, so the liquid inside doesn't stay warm for very long (a few hours as opposed to all-day for the REI Bullet). I use this bottle for a daily commute, so it's often in a backpack and isn't always upright-- if you want an insulated bottle for hiking/camping, pass on this one.

I bought this bottle to replace my SIGG aluminum bottle which was used so much, I had to get rid of it. First of all, I love the construction of this bottle. The outside is tough and its hard to put a dent in it (unlike other bottles I've tried before). The cap feels solid and leak-proof, which is very important for me as I carry the bottle in my backpack to school. I like the wide mouth as well. Overall, a very good buy for the price and one step closer to being green :)

Comments about Klean Kanteen Stainless-Steel Wide-Mouth Water Bottle with Loop-Top Cap - 27 fl. oz.:
I bought this bottle hoping it would do two things for me: work with my Guyot Designs Gription lid (gives coffee mug convenience to your water bottle) and fit in my car's cup holders. The bottle and cap seemed well-made; I was excited. Unfortunately the threading on the bottle does not mate well with the Nalgene threading on the Gription or my regular Nalgene lid. It would go on if done carefully, but water would leak through the threading. It did fit perfectly with the Nathan water bottle we had (which also doesn't fit the Nalgene). Unfortunately it was also too big for my car's cup holders, but since they rarely fit anything bigger than a 12 oz. pop can, I assume the Klean Kanteen's claims on fitting in cars is accurate. Overall it seemed to be a well done bottle and cap and if I had not had such narrow requirements, I would have been happy with it.
