Comments about Garmont Syncro Plus GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I took a chance and ordered these online without trying them on after I had to return my REI Spirit boots. These came and when I try them on they seem very narrow in the toe box. It is not pinching my toes so I don't think it is too short, it is squeezing in at the ball of my foot. I have worn Spirits for years made by Raichle and these fit well right out of the box. I also have several pairs of Keens that I love for around town.
I do not have wide feet but do have a high instep so I am particular with my boots. I wear hiking boots most everyday of the year so I like a good comfortable pair at a good price. These fit the bill on price but just can't make them work for comfort.
If they fit, I would recommend you try them. The feel lighter than my other leather boots so that is a plus.

Comments about Garmont Syncro Plus GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
These felt great right out of the box. They are very waterproof and stood up to my first couple hikes in the East Cascades. My feet are flat as a pancake, and the insoles they came with have so far worked well. I'm interested to see how long the waterproofing lasts.
