I was really excited about this product and so I bought two 4-packs of various flavors. However, I really wish I would have purchased just one flavor first to try out before spending the money.

Each of the flavors I have tried have a very similar drawback for me - its not that they actually taste bad as much as they have a very "sharp" taste/sensation and I find them difficult to drink. I am going to try to dilute them substantially (1 tab per gallon) and see if I can at least use what I've purchased.

I use these to mix a drink at lunchtime to rehydrate a little (easier to drink a lot of water in a short period of time) during backpacking or at work. Less mess, less sugar, better flavor. Might be a good replacement for powdered energy-drink mixes.

Nuun tablets are clean and easy to use. They give a nice boost without the 'buzz' I, at least, get from some of the other electrolyte replenishers out there. Plus Nuun is more convenient to store, to dispense and to use. I used them on my recent cycling trip in the tropics--and on other forays into the wilds. I do have one suggestion; Nuun is not a 'quick fix.' So: don't wait until you are bonking to drink your Nuun. Be proactive.

My husband and I went to the Boundary Waters last year and used water treatment tablets for the first time. Not only did the NUUN tablets cover any persistent iodine taste, but the Citrus Fruit was super tasty. With as much sweating we were doing, these really gave us a boost. Now, we won't take a trip without them.
