Compact, lightweight and simple to use, the Petzl Tikka 2 headlamp is ideal for everyday adventures, including hiking, snowshoeing, reading and around-the-house activities.
- Tipping the scales at less than 3 oz., the Petzl Tikka 2 won't weigh you down during a light and fast hiking trip
- 4 LEDs provide even lighting throughout your field of vision with no blank spots in the beam; LEDs throw the beam up to 29m
- Push-button switch lets you easily change between 3 lighting modes (high, low and flashing) so you can choose the appropriate light level for the task at hand
- Low level provides up to 120 hrs. of use and high up to 90 hrs.
- Headlamp tilts to point light where you need it
- Provides IPX4 water resistance for reliability in inclement weather
- Adjustable elastic headband holds the light securely in place; colorful headband and plastic casing add a little style
- Compatible with the Petzl Adapt Tikka 2 system (not included), which allows you to quickly and easily attach the light in a variety of places
- Battery compartment is hinged to allow simpler access than the previous version of the Tikka; compartment closes easily and securely
- Runs on 3 AAA alkaline batteries, included; Tikka 2 is compatible with lithium batteries, which are lighter than alkaline batteries and perform better at lower temperatures

The other reviews have said it all. I'm happy with what I got for the money, but think the light is dim. Doesn't seem like 40 lumens to me. Night hiking is not recommended. Works well around campsite.

Having a headlamp is wonderful for tasks where both hands are required in the dark: setting up your tent, cooking at camp, digging a cathole, and even when the power goes out at home. I love this headlamp! It is light weight and comfortable to wear. The light might not be as bright as some of the more expensive headlamps but it has been perfectly suited to fit all my needs. Highly recommended.

I have had the old Tikka for years and still use it all the time while hiking, biking, or around the house. Bought the Tikka 2 for my girlfriend and it's just as good. We've used these lamps on multi-day hikes all around CO and Hawaii in all kinds of weather, and they have never let us down. They are compact enough that you can pack them anywhere, even if space is tight. And they are very durable, so having them in the bottom of your backpack or slung on the back of your camelback while mtn biking isn't a problem. They fit well on my head and don't get heavy or annoying, even after hours of hiking and sweating. There are brighter lights out there that are nice when you need to see far or light up a large area, but for personal use these lights are perfect.

I love this headlamp! My boyfriend and I often go on hikes early in the morning or after the sun has set (ie: backpacking, hiking across the Grand Canyon, etc) and this has been a lifesaver! I appreciate that its light settings are adjustable and it is bright enough for me to see the far-away green eyes of deer in the distance. It fits nicely, and I have absolutely no complaints! I am LITERALLY a happy camper!
