Comments about CamelBak Insulated Stainless-Steel Better Bottle - 17 oz.:
Convinced that this will be the last bottle I will own - Finally a company has mixed stainless with insulation, and Camelbak took it one step further by making it sharp looking as well. Holds cold OR hot products near entry temp for extended periods of time (4+ hours), super light, ultra durable...What more can I say?

This is one fantastic water bottle! It does not sweat, feels good in the hand, and keeps water cold for several hours (10+ hours). I originally bought one for my wife and was so impressed that I had to order another for myself, and a couple more as gifts for our dads. Just go ahead and pick yourself up one of these gems. You will not be disappointed.

I love the bottle because it keeps water cold for extended periods of time. I put ice cubes and water in it, left in the garage (NO AC) for over 24 hours, in Texas heat (95-100+). The water was still drink-ably cold.
But the bottle won't fit well in traditional bottle cages, such as the King Iris Cage. However, fits well in plastic cages, such as the one made by Klean Kanteen.
So, if function and looks are both equally important and you want to use a steel cage, you may be out of luck. Otherwise, I would say, go for it :)

I bought one of these because I wanted a bottle that would keep my water cold/cool. After reading the reviews this looked like the unit for me. Except for being rather small, only about 16-17 oz it is great. It keeps the water cool under extreme conditions. I was going to an afternoon baseball game and I filled it with cold water and 3 ice cubes in the morning and after the game, about 8+ hours later, I got to the car and although the outside was almost too hot to hold the water was nice and cool and very refreshing. Under normal conditions, commuting, shopping, driving around, I have had ice cubes last 2-3 hours. this unit is great. If it was bigger it might be too heavy so being this size I fill it more often maybe but has the best insulation I've seen for cold liquids. I bought one for the gal friend too, she loves it.

The bottle really does keep beverages cold. Unfortunately, metal water bottle cages don't hold it very well. I replaced mine with plastic cages, and one of the bottles fell out when I went over a rather nasty bump. Another reviewer suggested trying water bottle cages by Klean Kanteen - I tried, they're too narrow. While the bite-valve is up to the usual Camelbak standards, the lid assembly is more than a cyclist would need - all the extra stuff gets in the way. I see an opportunity for Camelbak to fill a niche. They might want to consider manufacturing their own cage for this bottle, as well as a lid designed specifically for cyclists.

Add the insulated neoprene sleeve and this thing is a lot more comfortable to hold and more durable when it gets dropped scraped etc.
Don't get me wrong this is a stainless steel bottle so it is strong and durable, but the padded sleeve is a great upgrade!
As a side note - I usually would never spend $30 on a water bottle, much less add another $10 on a neoprene sleeve as an accesory, but I tell you this is an awesome setup.

I use this daily, I always have it with me. I drink a lot of water and powdered drinks such as iced tea. I use this in and out of the house exclusively. In fact I don't use any other glasses for cold drinks I have to schedule it to go into the dishwasher :) I am sure you get the idea.
I agree with the other posts except hot drinks. I am not sure if my coffee was just too hot, but the plastic pieces got soft and gave off a slight flavor/odor. For cold drinks, it is as described. 4hrs in a black truck in 95deg, and there was still ice.

I could not do without my "bottle". This has great insulation. Ice cubes stay solid for hours in the sun. I drink filtered water, so I bring this to work. I cut off the very very tip of the bite valve so I didn't have to actually bite to get water as I am not using this with much activity. Water still does not spill out when valve is returned and canister lays flat. My canister has been dropped on more than one occasion (once on my friends toes, oops) with very minor dents- it is ballistic! Also, the silicon bite thing is very easy to clean off, it just slips off over a ridge. I want a second one and on waiting on another sale. Can't think of a single con on this bottle.

I like that it keeps my water cold all day long. I can hook it on to my purse when I go shopping or carry it in my hand. It is very sturdy and because it is stainless steel I can keep them alot cleaner. This is a great product. I highly recommond it.
