Comments about Sea To Summit X-Mug:
Regular cups/mugs are bulky and heavy. This thing is amazing as it flattens - takes very little space and weighs just 2.1 oz. Flattened, it fits into my cook pot but expanded it's a full 2-cups large. It even has measuring-cup markings. I drink hot coffee in this and there is no plastic taste and I can hold the cup by the rim and not get burned. I love it.

Comments about Sea To Summit X-Mug:
I just got back from a 10-day bike trip and brought this along as my general purpose mug/bowl. Loved it for the first two days but after that the smell became intolerable and I reverted to my stainless mug. It was used for: Coffee, Wine, Whiskey, rice & beans. I rinsed it in water and a little camp soap after each use. Now no amount of scrubbing gets the smell out. I think it would make a good dog bowl.

Comments about Sea To Summit X-Mug:
I was looking for a small water bowl for my dog - and was lamenting the fact that travel bowls for dogs are not easily washed. So I headed over to the camping aisle and found this. It is absolutely perfect and can even be formed into a mini 'dog dish' shape. I love that it folds flat for the glove box, and can fit in my pocket for day hikes with the pooch. The best part??? It is about half the price of bowls made for dogs!

Comments about Sea To Summit X-Mug:
Not as awesome as the X-bowl, and if I didn't have the bowl I might not get one of these, but the nestling feature makes it worth it. works well for everything I tried, but a cheap plastic GSI cup would do it too, or a nalgene-type cup. never had a taste or smell stick around, even with tea, hot chocolate, and some ungodly combinations of booze.

Comments about Sea To Summit X-Mug:
I wrote a similar review for the sea to summit bowl:
I think its fantastic myself. Its lightweight and holds quite a bit of liquid. I also like that this fits into the center of the sea to summit bowl when collapsed. The two combined take up almost no room in my pack and can fit into so many places. I mostly use this over 2-4 day trips. I have not had any of the issues others have reported about smell/stain/taste with this bowl. I have been with others using this on my trips and they all love it too. With that all said, I think its a toss up between this and the guyout squishy bowl/cup which has the advantage of being .2 ounces lighter and $11 cheaper but holds significantly less than the sea to summit cup/bowl (22oz oz vs 16oz for bowl, and 16oz v 6oz). Plus the sea to summit has the convenient measuring marks in the bowl and cup. So the size plus measuring marks made the difference for me, but I don't think you're wrong with the Guyout either. It depends on your wants/needs.
