Comments about Maglite Mini Maglite 2-AA Flashlight:

This is one of my favorite flashlights. It is small enough to fit into a drawer or to use on a small desk. I am using it in my home office for supplementary light. I had to lubricate the threads on the tail and the head pieces but otherwise it is a very good flashlight.

Comments about Maglite Mini Maglite 2-AA Flashlight:

I bought this light at the last minute when my Surefire died. This one performed, well, average. The beam is not the most powerful, and it can take a while to find what focus you want the beam at.

Invest in a good Fenix or Surefire light instead, LED's are much better.

Comments about Maglite Mini Maglite 2-AA Flashlight:

Picked up one of these at REI probably a year ago and put it in my backpack as one of the ten essentials. Hadn't used it at all until this past weekend. Batteries were still fresh, light was as bright as new. I have always liked MagLite products, as they are well made and have always been trouble free for me. Tremendous value for the price.

Comments about Maglite Mini Maglite 2-AA Flashlight:

Not much point in buying an incandescent light these days. A quality LED light will run 5-10x longer on a set of batteries, and be MUCH brighter, and have higher quality of light. This light is dim, has a horrible beam, drains batteries fast, and bulbs dont last long. Do you really want to be changing a bulb in the dark, during an emergency?

Comments about Maglite Mini Maglite 2-AA Flashlight:

I've owned four of these in the last ten years. I always bought them to go traveling and camping because when they do work they are cute and I love the candle for camping or rooms with no bedside lamp. Sadly I lost one and the other three broke. The last one I only just bought and took on one trip and it worked for three nights and then ceased working. I think the batteries may have leaked even though they were brand new - Anyway, I couldn't get them out. This was the exact same problem I had with the mini maglite's predecessor. Maybe I am unlucky, but I don't feel these torches are reliable.

I have had this light for about 5 months and i love it. It has great light output for its size and it is very durable. One of the only problems that I had with it ( not a big issue) was the first bulb breaking with i took the cap off to see how to candle setting did. But hey, you can get another pack for like 2.50 , right? Anyways, if you want a reliable light that doesn't cost a lot...buy this one!

Very durable flashlight. Its always handy to have around, easy on/off, can be spot or flood light, and the extra bulb in the endcap has been very helpful. There are also numerous accessories made to fit this light. Maglites may not be the best for lightweight camping, but I highly recommend them for just about any other use. I have 2 of these AA, 1 AAA, and 2 2D size, and no complaints.
