The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Backpacker's Pantry Pad See You with Chicken:
If you like Asian cuisine and sauces, this one tops my list. The broccoli is a great addition too. I'll get this one again.

Comments about Backpacker's Pantry Pad See You with Chicken:
This may be my favorite of all packaged meals (up there with Pad Thai). I like it better than similar meals in a lot of cheap Chinese restaurants and it is very easy to prepare. It is very flavorful and I always ensure at least one of these is in my pack for each trip.
It does cost a bit more than other similar meals, but well worth it. If you are big eater or one that eats only 1 or 2 big meals per trip, then this will be a very large meal for one - too big really for one sitting.

Comments about Backpacker's Pantry Pad See You with Chicken:
So easy to make just follow the instructions on the bag and easily feeds two. Only needed to boil water and poor into the bag, seal it up and wait a few minutes (did my 10 min tent setup). Very delicious. If the weather is chilly, wrap a jacket around the bag so it doesn't get too cold. Eat out of the bag if you don't want bowls to clean.

Comments about Backpacker's Pantry Pad See You with Chicken:
I was attracted by the flavor, and had no time to read the back/cooking instructions before running out of the store.
Big mistake.
When I went to cook my dinner, at 10,000 feet, and in about 10 degree temperature, I learned:
1. I will need to add 2.5 cups of boiling water, AND
2. Will need to wait 26 minutes before it's ready.
Surprisingly, I did NOT bring a measuring cup with me on my backpacking trip... So I had to GUESS how much is 2.5 cups... But then, had to wait 26 minutes to see if that was enough water, or too much.
Of course, half hour later, I discovered that I put in too much water, yet the noodles were still hard, and the whole thing was sort of like smelly soup...
I went to bed without dinner.

This is a great one.
All dehydrated/freeze dried food loses flavor, but this one works hard to put some back in, AND it includes olive oil to add texture, flavor and essential fats we need in the high country.
It's tasty, and the brocolli bits are excellent. The noodles are good, the chicken is decent and this meal has become a favorite. It's so good that it might topple the Stroganoff... heresy? well, we've had a lot of stroganoff! Hey, there's more than one night, right?
I suggest you can really make this one shine if you bring along some dried herbs or other spices to add after you cook it. A quick sprinkle makes this one pop.

Comments about Backpacker's Pantry Pad See You with Chicken:
I didn't expect to have a real Thai meal on the trail, so with low expectations this wasn't too bad. It tasted more like a Thai soup with nice flavors (ours came out a bit watery). It wasn't close to the real Phad See Ew dish, this one had skinny noodles and I didn't taste any soy sauce or egg, and it was odd to add olive oil since I don't think that's normally used for Thai cooking. But it was a good try on the part of BP Pantry, it's nice to see new meals out there for backpackers.
This was a shared meal for two people after a long day of hiking in the desert, and was a bit small for us even though we normally eat small meals.

Comments about Backpacker's Pantry Pad See You with Chicken:
Easy to prepare and excellent flavor. Didn't even need to add salt or pepper. Since it is a meal for two, make sure to bring at least one extra bowl so someone can eat out of the bag and the other from the bowl.
