Comments about Planet Bike Superflash / Blaze Bike Light Set:
What ever you do, DON'T look into the light... I was seeing spots for quite some time! It's a great light. I can see much more of the road than I expected. It even lights up roadsigns that are at least an 8th of a mile away. For it's price range, this is by far the brightest set I could find. The tail light is uber bright too. Don't look directly into that either! The quick release is secure and very handy. I can't stand leaving equipment on my bike when I'm away. Over all: awesome product for the price... Get one!

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash / Blaze Bike Light Set:
Went to the REI store to see if they had a Nite Ize Lite Ride to use with my Nite Ize upgraded 3 LED Mini Mag, wound up leaving with this instead. I spent probably an hour shining lights onto the store's wall, starting with the $20 lights. This one has a narrower beam than many of the other offerings (including the $20 models) but a 1W LED is hard to beat - only my other 3W LED Mini Mag can do that.
So I used this set that night at 9:30 on a city street ride returning from a friend's house - front light flashing on the more well lit streets, high beam on the less well lit streets (nice to have that option of low/hi beam) plus my 3W LED Mini Mag on a headband. The tail light has a small clip so I put that on the back of my waist via the shorts since I have a seat bag and a rack bag and wanted to get the tail light up a little higher for better visibility.
These lights use standard size AA & AAA batteries and I have rechargeable sets of these.
I figure you can probably never have too bright a set of lights if you want car drivers to know you're out there. This sure beats the 20 year old setup that I used to have!

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash / Blaze Bike Light Set:
I ride for exercise 4-5 nights a week as fast as I can pedal. I ride both on well lit streets and dark back streets. The headlight is bright enough for the dark areas. The flashing mode is the brightest I have ever seen on any bike (both front and back lights). I like this set so much, I bought a second set for my wife. While you can buy less expensive (but not as bright or noticeable) light sets, figure how much it will cost if you get run over by a car (and survive)! [...]
