Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
I bought this product as a third layer for use on the Outer Banks. It isn't warm enough and definitely can't block the wind if you want to wear it as an outer layer on a warmer day. It is a nice vest to wear in town, as it is the most fashionable vest I saw at the store, not too puffy. So if you want a vest for hiking in the woods or at the park or in town, I would recommend it. But I think it isn't right for extended use. The down started coming out the first day I owned it and I worried that the outer material would rip too easily on a piece of wire or on the edge of a car door or something.
In all, I like the way it looked, it's weight and the feel of it, and it has a full collar too, but not a great piece of field kit.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
I take this on float trips to wear after sunset. I also wear it as an extra layer around town when the temp gets extra cold.
It packs very small for the warmth it provides.
I have a long upper body, and the XL is long enough to come down well past my waist.
Not wind blocking, but not meant to be. I use it in conjunction with a windstopper jacket.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
I was considering another big name brand because it was slim-fit and perfect for layering. After trying both on, I realized that the Marmot Zeus Down Vest was also slim-fit, had better insulation, had more elastic in the arm holes (to keep the warmth in), had larger internal pockets, and was significantly cheaper than the alternative.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
This is a great vest. Even for having 800-down filler, this thing is not too bulky, nor is it too light. As Goldilocks once said, "this is just right". I also like the feature that this can pack into its own pocket for easy storage/throwing it into your pack. All in all, a great vest.

I bought this at the beginning of October. It has become my favorite piece for layering and general wear.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
I bought this for a friend as a gift because I like mine so well. Highly compressible (800 loft down). Broad temperature comfort range. Perfect for cool weather, a little below freezing, and a great under layer for cold weather.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
I wear this around town because the style is nice.
I also wear it on almost every camping and backpacking trip. It is great in the evenings and mornings when the weather is cool. I have layered it on top of thermals and under a shell in more extreme weather.
I find the vest is more versatile than then jacket. It stuffs nicely in its own pocket and lofts back up fine.
The vest is longer than most athletic fitting clothing, but I also have a shorter torso.
Mine has been in pretty extreme weather (mountaineering trips) and it looks new still.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
Bought this at last second as and extra layering option in case of foul weather for Kilimanjaro. Packed very light, only used it for summit day. Very warm, must use with an outer layer as it is not wind proof, doesn't feel tear resistant. Collar got filthy after one use (caused a lot of sweat) from being zipped up, washed out fine. Solid layering option.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Vest - Men's:
I purchased this vest because I wanted something lightweight and warm. It was between this vest and TNF Nuptse. I chose the Zeus because it was lighter, less bulky, and packs small. Plus it comes in a sweet orange color. Who doesn't love orange down vests?
