The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Crew Top - Women's:
I own this top in black and Aegean heather. I use it for just about everything. It is comfortable and stylish enough for casual wear, and keeps you comfortably warm indoors without getting hot. Its best use of course has been outdoors. It is an excellent choice for cold-weather running, and perfect as a layer by itself for fall hiking. Also used it a few times climbing, and the fabric seems very durable, even against rock. Stays warm when wet. I see other reviews say that it holds odor, but I wore it for two weeks without noticing much besides the smell of deodorant. Haven't used it for winter sports yet, but seems like it would be a great baselayer.
A few minor negative points: I wear it in an xs, but the size is quite short on the arms. I'm 5'4" 120lbs. The small was too large, especially around the midsection. The xs fits perfectly except for the arms. There is about a 2" gap between my wrists and the end of the sleeves. I usually wear the sleeves pushed up and it's fine, but it can be bothersome when running in cooler weather when you'd like the sleeves pulled down. Also, I notice a bit of the itchy "wool" feeling when I first put it on, but it disappears within minutes.
All in all, it's a great multipurpose top and it's too bad they don't make it in more colors...

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Crew Top - Women's:
I own two. They are both my "favorite" long-sleeve top. After hiking miles and miles I have replaced my socks and shirts with smartwool.
Very practical for back-packing. I DO sweat but have not experienced an "odor retention" issue. As warm as they are for cold-weather they are not overly hot when the day starts to warm-up and they pack down easily. Very few wrinkles when taken back out.
I wear them often for every-day casual as well and rarely go a day without a complement!
I'm 5'2", 115#s but I'm also a D-cup. I do NOT like my clothing to be tight-fitting. I order an XL and I love the way they flatter my curves without looking 'baggy' around the middle. I do layer these also.
The material did not shrink as most 'wool' based products do- even after my family decided to put one into a hot dryer for me! That was my sure sign to buy another :)
Somewhat scratchy texture isn't noticable after a few minutes- and I'm very picky about itchy clothing.
I have noticed "static" makes things (like my hair) cling to these but a brush down with a dryer sheet fixes this if I'm going to wear it casually.
I would / WILL buy several more when more color options are produced. The price is reasonable given the number of years they last and the durability and flexibility of the fabric. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Crew Top - Women's:
I've been wearing silk for years, but recently, I discovered this top during the Thanksgiving 2010 week sale. I have converted to Smartwool now. Not only is this top soft, fitted, and stylish, but it's WARM! I need the warmth underneath my clothes during winters in Montana. If I need to, I can wear this alone, with a vest, or underneath whatever. I don't really sweat, so I don't have any idea as to how it wicks. I don't have to worry about this top snagging or stretching, as I do with my silk top. I wash this top in warmish water and do not dry. I absolutely recommend the Smartwool lines for comfortable warmth! The sale was so affordable, that I bought the purple and the turquoise.

I love this product, and in fact have it in three colors. I'm always cold and this makes a great base layer. I'm 5 feet tall and 36, 28, 38, and the medium fits great. I just wish it was made stateside, then I wouldn't mind paying so much.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Crew Top - Women's:
The SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Crew Top is a great top. I mostly wear it for outdoor activity (running, playing, on the go), but also wear it for warmth in my chilly flat, and even to bed. It does an excellent job naturally regulating body temp, and never gets hot.
I have used it frequently for over two months, and have not had a problem with piling; although, with any wool product, I expect to deal with some eventually. Also like other wool products, it does not cut wind, so an additional layer is needed on windy days. It's not likely to end up on the runway, but I do frequently wear it by itself, and again... soo wonderfully temperature prrrufect.
In a 5'7, 125 lb frame, the small fits perfectly, although the side seams towards the hips curve in a little strangely.

Wore this skiing and it was perfect. The only problem I had was that even though it wicked moisture well the fabric held the odor.

This top kept me warm and cozy on an Alaskan vacation, and it is stylish to boot. It wicks well during hiking and other activities. I'll plan to use this for everyday wear also.

I love this shirt. We paid the [$] for it but it has been worth ever penny. Fits perfectly, and I am normally a petite, and it keeps it shape after you have worn it a couple of times, as normal with Smartwool stuff. Wicks away moisture but doesn't hold the smell. You can wash it and dry it and it doesn't shrink! I absolutely love this shirt, I just can't say that enough.

Comments about SmartWool Midweight Long-Sleeve Crew Top - Women's:
I have been wanting a smartwool shirt for a long time because of how much I love the socks and it is every bit as amazing as I imagined. Warm, wicking, warm even when damp, great color, so so soft, pretty much perfect in every way. I wear it as a layer on cool weather hikes or just in general on cold days. I don't usually use it as long underwear per say, it's pretty substantial, but more as my primary shirt that I would layer a sweater or fleece over. It's also good alone for sweaty activities in cool weather. It is my favorite shirt and I wish I could afford one in every color. My only complaint is that the sizing is a little weird, I usually wear a small in most things but the small seemed short in the body and snug enough that it rode up a lot when ever I did anything active, so I returned it and got the medium, which is great except the sleeves are too long. It seemed like the biggest difference between sizes is in length not width.

Being an Icebreaker fan, I tried this shirt on in the REI store. I'm 5'4" 130lbs. I wear a small in Icebreaker but for this shirt a medium felt better.
Pros: the fabric is just delicious. I almost bought the shirt.
Cons: the cut. Not raglan sleeves, which restricted me to rather awkward arm movements. :-(
