This set looks well designed and is certainly very attractive.
Comes with two small cups and a spork.
The set is lightweight, compact and looks like it would be great.

if it weren't for the FATAL FLAW- the lid is not airtight making this basically useless in my opinion.

Do you self a favor: buy the spork and use a tupperware bowl (you'll save fifteen bucks)

I just purchased two more for my son's for a recent pack overnighter and was REMARKABLE for the kids to pack, eat from, and clean and had a ball with the spork.
Also purchased 3 LMF BBQ firestarters worked great.
Have not been let by Light My Fire products.

My main intent for use when I purchased was for hikes and overnighters with scouts and leadership training sessions.
I saw a leader at a recent training with one and had to get my own.I was able to consolidate equipment and have 6 pieces in one small package.

I LOVE this meal kit! I have owned this product (in green - my favorite color) for 4 years. Not only is it perfect for camping, it's also great for travel, I have taken this on my travels to California and Italy! It's like being able to take your own picnic set with you! I pack a small travel size bottle of dish soap, small swiss army knife and a 2nd spork and it has been good for both my husband and I to use.

* The cup is good for hot chocolate and tea (mine does not leak).
* The small container is good for holding tea bags, nuts, candy, vitamins etc.
* The cutting board has been used for slicing cheese.
* bowl/plate has been used for holding sandwiches to stew.
* Thrifty travelers: I have used this set to make instant cereal in hotel rooms to save from having to order room service or eat an unhealthy "continental breakfast".
* I also have several LMF sporks which I use everyday for my work lunches.

got one for me, boyfriend, friends, love it! i like having things compacted, light weight...i also got the harness to hang it on the outside of the pack and make sure it doesn't get separated. nice having a storage container inside and the mug is great for coffee or tea.

Bought one for each of five family members, in different colors. Love the bowl. Love the strainer / cutting board. Love the plates, etc.

Hate the mug. The lid on the mug does not seal, and you have to hold it in an awkward fashion to keep the hot chocolate from dribbling down your chin.

Spork is best we've encountered with reasonable spoon. Cutting board with strainer is fabulous.

We're looking to replace the cup with something else, however.

Finally, the smaller bowl with lid should only be used for dry things such as nuts or chips - the lid does not seal and makes a mess of liquids.

Fix those, and this is a five star product.

I have used the plate and lid and the spork several times, so I can really only comment on them. The product works well enough, but as another reviewer mentioned, it would be nice if the lid snapped on to the plate more tightly. I also noticed that even after a thorough cleaning in the field, the plate and spork still stunk like my dinner.

I'm going to hang on to it until it wears out, but I probably wouldn't buy another.

PIcked it up on a whim, love it. I used it hiking, camping, and to bring my lunches in. Gotten a few stares using in the office, but mostly compliments. I don't find the strainer useful at all, but meh.

Might pick up another set to use as storage, I rather like it in green.

Plastic mess kit. Looks cool. The big bowl is a nice size and easy to clean. All the other dishes are useless. They dont seal very well or are too small to be used as a dish. The spoon/fork is cool though. I dumped the smaller containers. Use the largest for my meals and filled the empty space with snacks and coco packets. Overall, I think there are better options
