Thanks to the low-maintenance Gates Belt Drive, internal 3-speed gearing and fenders the GT Aerostream Step-Through women's bike is ready to handle any urban adventure.

  • Lightweight, hydroformed aluminum frame features step-through design for easy mounts/dismounts while geometry keeps it comfortable for commuting, errand-running or joyriding
  • Gates Belt Drive drivetrain uses a belt instead of a chain—this system is exceptionally long lasting, virtually maintenance free and nearly silent
  • Belt Drive system doesn't require lubrication, meaning no greasy chain to deal with; just in case, the full-lengh chainguard prevents clothing from getting caught in drive
  • Shimano Nexus 3-speed internally geared rear hub features 3 handy gears for getting around town; shifting is a breeze with a simple turn of the twist shifter
  • Tektro linear-pull brakes provide easy management of speed; fast-rolling 700c wheels are outfitted with tough hybrid tires to keep you rolling smoothly around town
  • Fenders and front rack are included just in case the deal wasn't already good enough

No matter what the technicians did, the belt continued to slip, making this a difficult ride. GT needs to work out it's design flaw before they market this bike further.

    Comments about GT Aerostream Step-Through Women's Bike:

    I had an 18 speed mountain bike which I only used about 3 speeds from it. When I seen this bike, I loved the look and features of it. It also was something new to the bike world or at least new to me. Motorcycles use this same type belt in place of chains so it really made sense. When I first rode it, it was like nothing I had ridden on before. It GLIDES! I fell in love with it and am still in love with it! The look matches my age better and the 3 speeds is all that I need for the type of riding I do (street/bike paths). I am happy with the bike and think more people just need to be a little more open minded to this concept.
