Comments about MSR Base 2 Pot Set:
Having used these for several years, they are great, but not perfect. Food can still burn and get stuck, and the teflon is starting to break down.

Comments about MSR Base 2 Pot Set:
Used mainly for boiling water and making oatmeal while backpacking with 2 friends 5 days in the Sierras. Two good sized pots allowed cooking in one pot then setting it in a koozie to heat up water in the other pot. Easy to clean and handle works great.

Comments about MSR Base 2 Pot Set:
I have use this pot set just once. My opinion is that it boils super fast, is very light, I can accommodate the MSR Whisperlite Internationale inside the 1.5 L pot (without a fuel bottle), and it is easy to clean.
So for me, it is excellent!

Comments about MSR Base 2 Pot Set:
I use the pots for year-round camping. When I started snow camping and needed an extreme cold weather stove, I bought these pots to compliment my MSR EGK EX stove.
I like the fact that I can store my EGK EX stove and fuel line in the small pot. The pots are simple in design yet multifunctional. The strainer comes in really handy! The handle is/feels sturdy even with the pot full of stew.
On a four day backcountry snow-camping trek I like to boil two packs of Top Ramen noodles and add frozen meatballs in the 2.5L pot and eat from it. I boil water with the 1.5L pot for the hot drinks to go with and after the meal!
These pots are perfect in weight (For their size), sturdiness (Doesn't ding like titanium), and multifunctional (Lid has holes for straining).

Comments about MSR Base 2 Pot Set:
This was an impulse buy and a splurge- but it's my favorite tool, since I am an avid cook. It's $15 less than the MSR Quick 2 Pot Set [$]- but the same size- though 2oz. more in packing weight. It's non-stick- so you can just wipe it clean. The handle stays cool and so does the lid top, which functions to keep the set closed when not in use. Compared to other cooksets, it's handle is the most comfortable and doesn't move around, even though it's detachable.I was able to boil 4 eggs comfortably on the MSR Pocket Rocket without any instability problems and without burning myself.A fuel can nests inside, and my Snopeak ti plates fit nicely to the outside. All this fits right inside my Sea To Summit Folding bucket. It's larger, than other sets, but lighter. If you are the camp chef, this is worth it.
