      I went to my local rei store to try on a couple different pairs of shoes they offered in the price range of [$]After reading so many awesome reviews aboutthe Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek shoes. I tried a pair of them and the pair of shimano MO76's.I wasn't pleased with the fitting of the izumishoes. I did like the way they were designed but the sizing was just very uncomfortable for my foot. i tried up to 2 sizes bigger then what i thought i would need. This is normal. sizes varie brand to brand.I tried on the Shimano MO76's and they fit like a glove. I tried the 45's and they were a little tight on the sides. Tried on a 46 and they fit perfectly. I walked around in them for a while in the store to see if they would cause any problems for me. (i ride my bike everywhere so walking around a lot is a unavoidable situation)The design was perfect. The Velcro makes it perfect for swapping out shoes after a ride to casual shoes for other activities in a speedy manner. They are easy to walk in don't scratch against the ground often if at all if you walk on the correct surface and are just plainly stylin when your pedaling along.My advice would be to go to the rei storeand try on a few different sizes and see what your comfortable with. My personal preference was to stick withShimano products. Shimano pedals, cleats and shoes.So far they have been excellent. i went on a 20 mile pleasure ride earlier today and found that these shoes are very comfy for long rides and caused no problems for me at all.In a nutshell. these shoes are stylish, comfy,a great price, and high quality.Just be sure to try a few pairs on to findwhat your comfortable with.Awesome shoe for riders getting cliplessfor the first time.

        Excellent shoe for the price. You could spend twice as much and not get a better shoe. I am an avid mountain biker and this shoe is perfect for my use.

              I've had these shoes for two months and they are already falling apart. I'm heading in to return them today. If you plan on biking a lot, don't buy these shoes. The rubber of the soles started to pull away from the hard plastic almost immediately.

                I have about 300 miles on these shoes. They feel good and secure. They are well ventilated but I've not used them on wet terrain. They are comfortable to walk/climb on as well and not too rigid. Great overall MTB shoe.
