Comments about REI MultiTowel Lite - X Large:
Pros: Towel dries quickly and is very absorbent. Towel even dried in dark hostel rooms hanging on a coat hanger after half a day. Saves a lot of space and can be used many times before getting a mildew smell.Cons: I'm a hairy dude, to put it frankly.[*]. If you're not gentle when drying, the shamy-like nature of the towel will pluck away your body hairs. Just being honest. :)Also, go with the largest towel if possible. Getting the next smallest size won't save you any significant amount of space. My waist is size 33 and I found the medium-sized towel to reveal a bit too much leg, so I went with the XL towel.

My wife & I live in a relatively small apartment in Manhattan, and space for everything, including towels is at a premium. These hang on a hook and are always dry by the next day - not something that you can say for a cotton towel. We also have spares for guests (up to 4 additional) where we all share the same bathroom, yet everyone's towel dries easily.
One added benefit is that these towels are best cleaner for eyeglasses that I've ever found. A slightly damp one (just after a shower) followed bya a dry towel produces spotless eyeglasses. I'm going to be ordering small ones on my next REI order for this very purpose.

I travel to third world countries often. Space is of the essence when I can only bring one bag and must bring my own toiletries. I never know the conditions I will be living in but this little thing has been a life saver! It works great as a personal towel for after showering/bathing. If I were to only bring one cotton towel it would take up a lot more space and start to smell mildewy after just one or two days. This will last me at least a week and dry quickly even in very humid weather!

Comments about REI MultiTowel Lite - X Large:
This towel is amazing. It takes a little getting used to since its closer to a chamois than a towel and you end up wiping the water off you rather than absorbing it. Once you get over that though, this makes drying off when traveling real easy without having to worry about carrying around a wet towel that will never dry. Finish drying off and just wring the extra water out and its nearly dry. It packs down small and dries quickly. Really useful for wringing the water out of your laundry when hand washing clothes. XL size is great for taking to the beach or using as a changing cover.

We've used this for kayaking, canoeing, and family camping trips. It works very well, but if you're used to using regular towels, it takes a few uses to get used to how thin it is. That being said, the whole reason that I purchased it was because of the amount of space it saves in my pack, so that's not a complaint!

Worked great while tent camping at the Cumberland Gap. Towel holds a lot of water, dries off quickly in the sun, and packs up small.
Make sure you wash with like colors because it does bleed the first couple of times (I now have black towels with an orange tint to them).

I took this towel on a Mission Trip to Brazil and used it for 10 days. It stayed absorbent, dried quickly, and packed well. I let it air dry daily and it never smelled or mildewed.

Comments about REI MultiTowel Lite - X Large:
There's no way on Earth I'd ever consider spending this kind of money on a towel for my home, but for camping it's an absolute Godsend. I was skeptical as to how well it would work to really dry off after a shower, but was not disappointed. What as even better was how quickly it dried before I put it away - I typically car camp and was able to hang this off of my bike rack on my Jeep and it was completely dry within about 30 minutes.
The product tags clearly tell you to pre-wash the first time since the color will bleed. I hand washed it and rinsed it several times and then washed it with a load of darks. It bled ever so slightly when pre-washed this way. I love that I've been able to significantly lighten up what I bring since discovering this towel and own one in each size. Why didn't I buy these earlier?!?!

Love this towel. I always disliked dragging around a thick bathroom towel, only to stuff it into a pack where it never dries. This is surprisingly absorbent for such a thin towel. Dries very quickly.
