I never hit the trail without it! This thing has been SO incredibly useful!

I use it to dry off after a dip in the water, to dry my face after sweating, as a pot handle, to get water out of a leaky tent, to use as a pad for my mountain bike in case it bangs against the trunk of my car, and so on.

The medium size is about the size of a large handtowel. It can be used to dry off your entire body after a shower, but it may be a little tough to wrap it around to cover your back, even for a guy like me who's only 5'10" 145lb. If you plan on going car camping, step up to a large towel for shower use.

This thing absorbs water like crazy and wrings out very easily. Just twist it and let the water pour out, and it's good to go to absorb again. It's easy to clean out a whole tent with this. It's helpful for several people to use to dry off, as you can just wring it out once it gets soaked and it's good to go again.

I like the thickness and texture MUCH better than the other towels REI sells. You can go to the store and check 'em out, but the others are more like a car mechanic's paper towel while this is more like an actual towel. It's not as smooth as a cotton towel, so you don't wanna be too rough on your face, but it's fine.

It comes with a strap and a little buckle which you can use to hang your towel on a branch or something to dry, to clip around something the towel is protecting, or to clip onto a strap on the outside of your pack while you leave it out to dry when hiking. The plastic clip is easy to connect and detach and I've never had a problem with it disconnecting when it shouldn't.

It's great for dayhikes when you know you'll need to dry off, as well as backpacking if you're short on space.

Great for everyday multi-purpose use as well as camping. I have medium length hair and I use it as a headwrap to dry my hair quickly after showers. Its absorbency is great. It can be pulled through the attached loop/clip and made into a head wrap to wear while hiking, just add some water to keep your body temprature down in the heat.

Its uses are endless. I will be buying the larger size also.

I like having this little towel, I have used it for car-camping, traveling overseas and yoga class. However, I don't really feel like I've used it that many times and it has areas that are becoming compressed/threadbare. I'm not sure why. It's not as absorbent as I would like for sweat, in yoga class and I assume that it would be a problem for the gym too. It worked fine as a towel to use after my sun-shower - but what towel wouldn't work in the desert? I like the idea of the clip, but I haven't found it useful.

This is a great towel to take in luggage, for trips when you'll be staying in hostels. It's light and packs small, but is as absorbent as a large towel. The medium-size towel was sufficent for my needs; I'd rather pack 2 smaller towels than one larger towel.

Bought this to replace a standard towel when traveling and working-out abroad. I practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and carry with me a heavy cotton uniform, knee pads, belt and such that add up in weight.

Works great and dries quickly so doesn't take on the stink of my other gear. While it may not be large enough to cover me out of the shower, it beats having to carry around a heavy-wet-terry-cloth towel.

I bought this to take on a backpacking trip in case i needed it for something. Good thing I did. One night during a bad thunderstorm, the vent on my tent sprung a slight leak. Since it couldn't be fixed from inside the tent, I threw this towel under the leak, and it worked great! It absorbed all the water and kept the rest of the inside of my tent dry.

The use of this towel is only limited by your imagination. I never go on a trip without it, be it hiking/camping, hotels or a friends house. My friends and family laugh at me because it ends up in a photograph of every trip I go on.

I would buy this product again. I have the large size and it rolls or folds up perfectly in my kit.

Many years ago, I bought this travel towel at the recommendation of a friend.

Since then, I've taken various trips with it. A few weeks ago, I took the towel on some travels throughout Australia including the Great Barrier Reef and various beaches.

I've been impressed at how new it still looks, how light it is, and how useful it's been!

For such a low price, it's a no-brainer to go ahead and purchase one. :)

Bought this to replace Speedo swim towel for pool use. Works as well as the Speedo but is a bit larger. Extra size is a plus, especially for drying off after showering. Loop on corner is great for hanging to dry. For the lap swimmers in the audience, this product is a winner.

Soft, gets me dry then dries quickly, nice color. It could actually be smaller, but at the time I bought it the only Small one was green, which is not an ideal color for being in the backcountry.....that's kinda why I needed a replacement, my old one got lost at some point, probably came off my raft and blended in too well for me to notice...
