The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Lite Pocket:
This bottle is great! I've run with a regular water bottle before and it was such a pain having to keep a constant, solid grip on the bottle. The hand strap and flat bottle design make carrying this bottle effortless. Once I started running I did not even notice the bottle strapped to my hand. The nozzle allows for a nice, controlled flow and I was able to easily take small sips while running. The nozzle is also positioned close to the thumb, which makes it easy to close.
The only downside is that this bottle only holds 12 oz of fluid, which is not that big of a deal since there is a 20 oz version. Not knowing how much fluids I would take in during my runs, I opted for the smaller version.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Lite Pocket:
This worked perfect during my 1/2 marathon. I refilled at the water stations and kept my GU Chomps in the zipper pouch. Easy access. Didn't even know I was using it. It is very comfortable to use doesn't leak or slosh. Perfect for my needs.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Lite Pocket:
This is a great hand-held water bottle. I went with the 12 oz Amphhipod Lite because I an pretty small, and I have small hands. I have previously run holding a 21 oz water bottle (not designed as a hand-held) and it was too cumbersome. I held both the 22 oz and the 12 oz in the REI store and the 22 oz just felt too big for me.
The nozzle is pretty easy to open, either with my mouth or fingers, and I can usually snap it closed with the thumb on the hand that is carrying the bottle. When the strap is secure, your palm can stay open and does not have to be clenched around the bottle. I had read some comments that said the liquid sloshed around in the bottle. I think that is to be expected when you are running with a bottle of liquid. I don't find that the sloshing is distracting or annoying at all.
I have owned this bottle for about 1 year now and it has not deteriorated in any way. I have run 3 marathons with it, as well as countless training miles, and I have taking it on day long hikes.
The strap is comfortable and does not chafe. It is also washable. It can be a little tough to get the strap on the bottle. The pocket is a decent size, I am usually able to fit a few salt caps and some fuel (shot bloks, honey stingers, or a gel) in there. Sometimes I can even stuff my headphones in there. The zip can be hard to open when the pocket is full. I do wish the pocket were a bit bigger - either longer, or just more expandable. The shot blok packs are too long to fit in there, so I have to cut the packs.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Lite Pocket:
I was skeptical at first that I wouldn't like carrying this thing while I ran, but was looking for a way to not have to stop/slow down during races and figured I'd give it a shot. It fits my hand perfectly and isn't even noticeable after the first few minutes. Easy to open and close the top with just my teeth, and the 12oz version carries plenty of water for my long runs (8-10 miles). Overall I'm really pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it if you are on the fence like I was.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was very fast and to me made it worth every bit of the slightly higher price compared to other online stores.

Comments about Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Lite Pocket:
The bottle performed much better than I expected. As many people have commented the design is odd at first, true, but after a few miles the bottle slides into the hand, and I did not even think about it when I was in stride. I recall in HS our cross country coach in an effort to have us relax, would say to act as if we had butterflies trapped between our fingers, this bottle felt similar. I could grip it, but it was not a death grip. It felt natural.
The other complaint that I read about regarding the Amphipod bottles (20oz) was that the mouth piece was tough to work quickly on the run. That was not the case with this bottle. I closed the mouthpiece with my thumb after taking quick sips. The pocket is small, 2 GU, credit card and a car key will fit comfortably.
The Strap was sturdy, some other reviews complained that it would come loose, but I did not experience this, I only tightened it once on the run because I was trying to focus on anything but the rainy day jog. The pocket definitely does wick away moisture and I did not feel that it was retaining any sweat, which was nice.
For everyday runs this will definitely be my "go to" bottle. Whenever I stray further or hit the trails I will probably go with a pack. I just feel safer with extra GU or just space to tie a jacket when the run goes longer. Definitely would recommend this handheld.

Handy pocket big enough for ID and house key. Stays on your hand comfortably and is effortless to hold onto.
Perfect for keeping my mouth from getting sticky on half hour runs.
