Comments about Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EX:
Love, love, love this bag. I've actually stopped driving to the grocery store, using this bag and a backpack to do most of my shopping. It is spacious and useful and I'd recommend it to anybody.

Comments about Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EX:
We are recreational bikers who love to take off on a rail trail for a day. This trunk replaces a travel cooler bag that I strapped onto my bike rack with bungee cords. It always took several tries to get it attached without falling to one side, requiring us to stop and rearrange. Although I haven't taken this on a daytrip yet, it solidly slides onto the Topeak rack and stays there. Seems like the perfect size for carrying snacks, drinks, wallet, jacket, etc.
I ride a comfort bike. I had to do a little adjusting when installing the Topeak rack. I needed to make sure there was room for the bag to fully click onto the rack behind the seat. In order to do this I needed to tilt the rack back a bit - requiring longer straps to attach to the seatpost. I just added a small piece of aluminum to make it work. My existing tail light attached easily to the Topeak rack, out of the way of the trunk.

Comments about Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EX:
Well constructed and designed but you need to have the Topeak rack to use. Getting the bag back on the rack can take several attempts to get it lined up correctly. Has both a carrying handle and a strap, so it works when you park the bike. Not inexpensive but think of it as you usually need to pay more for the best.

Comments about Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EX:
I already had a larger MTX EXP version with side panniers. Wanted a smaller version without panniers - lighter version. Great for storing rain jacket, emergency bike parts, tools, inner tubes, lunch, personal effects and not have a backpack getting your body off balance.
I wish they made this in a hardshell for total waterproof transport in the PNW!

The lock n' quick release mechanism is very handy. The removable divider is nice for larger items.

I use this bag to commute to work, it is great for a small bag, doesn't hold much but it's size is perfect for tools, tubes, air pump, and clothes for the day... I purchased a shock cord net for the top to expand the carrying abilities, like shoes and so on... great purchase..

Can't easily fit in a pair of shoes. Seems pretty nice otherwise.
