Combining comfort-oriented geometry with practical accessories and a wide range of gearing options, the Electra Townie Euro 24D step-through women's bike is a versatile ride.

Frame geometry places bottom bracket and pedals well ahead of the seatpost, resulting in leg movement many people prefer over standard designs
Geometry places rider upright for comfortable, heads-up positioning; aft positioning allows a rider to place both feet on the ground at a stop
Lightweight aluminum frame provides vertical stiffness for prompt acceleration and power in climbs; step-through design facilitates easy mounting and dismounting
Rapidfire Plus trigger shifters snap through the 24 speeds; features Shimano Alivio rear derailleur and replaceable derailleur hanger
Linear-pull brakes provide controlled deceleration so you stop when you need to
Adjustable seatpost and handlebar stem let you dial in the fit; with so much adjustability, one size fits most people
Loaded with lots of useful accessories, including a dynamo-powered halogen headlight, battery-powered LED rear light, kickstand and an alloy rear rack with strap

Fitting an Electra bike is easy. Start by setting the saddle to its lowest position and then stand over it with both feet flat on the ground. Next, simply raise the saddle until it rests in the crotch. Tighten it in place, and that's it— you're done! After an initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. I simply love this bike, and everyone who has tested it loves it too. It is COMFORTABLE and lightweight. It rides nice and the guys loved the brakes. I love the little extras like the front and tail lights. I rode through Lake Tahoe trails and off side roads at the beach. Simply SUPER.

This bike is beautiful and stylish but oh so practical too. The bike rides very smoothly and is so comfortable. I'm not a big biker but I love riding this bike. The brakes work well, the shifting is easy to do and the bike handles light trails and roads with ease. The back rack is great for my farmer's market basket and there are so many fun accessories to add to this bike.
