I normally wear a men's 9B shoe. Most men's boots are far too wide for me, so I tried this woman's in an 11. Nearly perfect; very narrow and excellent arch support. Ankle-top was somewhat stiff for first 20 miles but loosened up satisfactorily along the way. Excellent traction on loose slopes, sandstone and slickrock. Boots seem warm compared to prior; perhaps it is the waterproofing -- solved with sock liners. First 80 miles show no unexpected wear and no blisters despite minimal break-in. Interior pads are easily removable for drying. Very pleased. I'm sad to throw the old boots away, but glad I found these first!

It is so great to be able to find another pair of Merrell's just like my 5 yr old pair; a rarity in the industry, I must add. It was like sliding into an old friend with comfort from the first moment. I wore my old pair for years while volunteering in outdoor settings and can't count the number of days, but years until the seams started to separate and let the water in. I am so happy to have the new pair!

Hiked many miles in these bad boys. Until the trip I hit heavy rain, my only complaint was that they weren't very breathable and made my feet sweaty and smelly. Then the rain came, and I spent 2 days hiking in wet socks. Bummer. These puppies claim to be waterproof and are not. Not at all.

Wore these boots to shovel snow,and walk through slush. Traction is great. They are actually water proof. Comfortable fit. My feet are always cold, except for when I wear these. Maybe too warm to wear indoor all day. Looking forward to hitting some trails. Stylish.

The boots fit great right out of the box. Minimal break-in required. I usually order hiking shoes one size up to accommodate hiking socks and foot swell. I did the same for these shoes.
The boots do get a little warm so the socks do get wet from sweat. It's always good to bring a spare pair of dry socks anyway.
I wore them for several long day hikes and haven't noticed any hot spots of problem areas. Overall these are great shoes.

I was fitted at the Dallas store where they took great care to match these boots to my foot. My first trek in these was over very rocky terrain with a light backpack. I doubled my usual hiking distance and at the end of the day my feet and legs felt like they could keep going. No aches or pains in the morning.

I loved the look of this boot. It felt good overall except it was too narrow. I had ordered a half size up but still could not make it work. I have a wide foot and the shoe does not come in wide. I returned this pair and with help from customer service, ordered a similar pair in a man's size. The men's are perfect for my wider feet and have already hiked in them. Zero issues so far. Very comfy.
I would recommend this boot to a friend who has narrow feet and suggest a half size larger.
